Just imo. I understand the love Cotto gets, he had many awesome fights, good memories, often a nice style... but overall I feel his actual level gets overrated by a bit. I think Mad UDs him without a lot of trouble tbh.
Cotto for me. Ive always been a Cotto fan and will rarely bet against him. He is very Under appreciated. He may not have been the PFP best but was always solid. Very few fighters that are better than a Prime Cotto IMO.
It's a tough one since Cotto's best days weren’t at 154. Ortiz Jr. has had the most success against Madrimov because he disregarded all the feints and started letting his hands go every chance he got, not sure if Cotto could replicate that. Crawford slightly outpointed him with a counter shot once in a while, but I doubt Cotto would be able to win like that either. The more I think about this clash of styles, the more I lean towards Madrimov, even though I'm a bigger fan of Cotto.
To be fair that was Cotto's last fight of his career and he was considerably past his best by that point. I'm not that impressed by Madrimov he has an amateur style to me and I think a good version of Cotto could break him down to the body and get him to late on like Ortiz did.
