It proves that the whole narrative that this is some David vs Goliath match up between a little guy who has come up from lightweight and a super-middleweight is complete nonsense. There is no big size disparity between them. Crawford is a big guy who when he walked around at 170 five or six years ago was as lean as a greyhound, was still very lean at 177, and walks around now at an in shape 186lbs. 186lbs is 50lbs more than the lightweight limit and as you can see in the videos I posted he's not remotely bloated in the face or out of shape at that weight. He looks bigger than Clenelo Clenelo comes in at 178-180, Crawford weighed 8-10lbs less than at slightly under 170lbs for his 154 debut, a still super lean 169.8lbs. Floyd and Khan were much smaller than Clenelo, Crawford is not if barely any smaller at all and there isn't going to be much of a weight disparity at all on the night and Clenelo hasn't stopped anyone in four years and is past his prime despite cherrypicking lion tamers and crab fishermen all of which combines to making me pick Crawford to win This content is protected
I agree with you that Crawford who is affectionately called Bud by many and Terry by you will beat Canelo. Size is not the key factor here rather skills are. If Canelo thinks he is fighting the smaller man he has an excellent chance of being knocked out for the first time in his career.
One of the craziest narratives is that Bud is skilled and Canelo isn't. Canelo fought 24 rounds with Golovkin, knocked out Kolavev, beat Jacobs and Lara (just about), and has knocked out faster fighters than Crawford (Khan) and much harder punchers (Kovalev) - I see no area where Crawford has an advantage in this fight. The fact that Crawford is essentially jumping up three weight classes is something people seem to be overlooking. On fight night, it'll show, and I expect Canelo to stop Crawford in the mid rounds. He might be behind on the cards, but as soon as Canelo lands, it's over. Just like the Khan fight.
Even if Terry was much smaller than Clenelo we know that the later cannot deal with a certain style but given the fact there there won't be much in it weight wise at all on the night, Terry's big reach advantage, Clenelo's decline and inability to score a stoppage win in four years despite cherrypicking like crazy + style, it leads me to favour Terry winning I don't think Terry is necessarily more skilled than Clenelo. I don't like Clenelo but I don't deny his skills. He's very slick, much slicker than Terry, and better defensively. Terry is super skilled and more skilled than him when it comes to certain things but they both have elite skills I've seen quite a few people picking Terry by KO or stoppage and none of them cited Clenelo's decline as a factor. This is madness Yes, Terry is the older man here but he's the fresher man and still looks great and very sharp. If he does KO or stop Clenelo he's definitely on something and I don't say that to try and discredit him but rather how in the hell could he escape those accusations which have been levelled at other fighters coming up in weight for much less when Clenelo has an iron chin, one of the best chins in the game, has never been floored, let alone stopped or KO'd, has fought murderous punchers like GGG x 3 and been hit by plenty of big shots by him and Terry is coming up from 154? I see him winning on points but knocking out Clenelo or stopping even this version of Clenelo? No way and if he was to do so that would be extremely suspect
Bud looked like a damn NFL running back today at the presser some signs of roid rage as well. You could tell this guy could have played any sport. Really wondering what his dead lift must be now it was already an insane amount before. Theres no way Canelo is going to look stronger than him no way.
The knockout shot invariably is a shot you don’t see coming. Anybody can be knocked out so Clenelo is not infallible. Clenelo think he is too big and to strong which is his first mistake combined with 2bd mistake which is silk pyjamas syndrome. Finally don’t be surprised if Terry Bud Crawford assaults Canelo with a body attack that takes the wind of out of his sails. I respect both guys skills but Clenelo ducking David Benaividez is a big clue as to where he is at.
