I'd have expected Dorticos to stop Ramirez, but I honestly thought he'd retired so I assume Ramirez will outwork and speed him to a boring decision.
I'm not sure if Dorticos still has it anymore. Expecting a relatively boring Ramirez decision, with flashes of action from Dorticos that could promise something more that doesn't actually catch alight. Would be happily surprised if I'm completely wrong though. Kind of hoping that Ramirez loses after how he has been ducking Opetaia and talking up the Jake Paul fight.
I think Ramirez could stop Dorticos based on the inactivity and age etc, he hasn’t fought in over a year, and even before then he’s been inactive, a year and a half off before then, another year before that and yet another year before that, he’s fought 6 times in like 7 years. I’m going with Ramirez to win on points, but a stoppage wouldn’t surprise me, a Dorticos win would be a big upset, but in his prime I might have picked him.
Five years ago, Dorticos might very well have stopped Ramirez. Today, I expect Ramirez to punch his way to a decsion.
Zurdo should win, but there is an outside chance for the upset. Ramirez, and everyone else, is sleeping on Dorticos.
Dorticos always have a puncher's chance. He's is very old though (39) and he's been inactive. Ramirez will probably win a decision, but don't count out the KO doctor.
I mean he's only lost to two of the best cruiserweights of the past 25 years. Both were close bouts, the Gassiev loss being an absolute give and take war before the finish. Is Zurdo one of the best cruisers of the past 25 years?? Does he punch like Gassiev, or even Breidis? I don't think so. Dorticos had both of them going backwards. What's Zurdo's plan?
Zurdo is a respected champion and credible opponent, that boosts Dorticos' legacy if he should come up with the upset.
Dorticos by horrific KO. Joe Smith rocked Gordo countless times, the one round CBS landed on him clean, he had Gordo on ice skates. Even though Dorticos is old, he's only 39 and has far less wear and tear on him than Gordo, who's been in some fairly grueling fights over the last few years and is a very old 34 himself. Power is the last thing that goes, especially the natural thudding kind that Dorticos possesses. Gordo lost to Bivol, which is nothing to be ashamed of. But Dorticos' losses to Briedis and Gassiev, who would both send Gordo and Bivol to the outer realms, certainly are nothing to be ashamed of either. This will be the first Cruiserweight, with Heavyweight power that Gordo will be facing and I doubt he can stand up to it.
