i’m so tired of this made up term. If you can make the weight, you made the weight. It’s been going on since the invention of the sport.

actually Jake cut a heap of weight to fight Tommy, that was the start of the reversal in plans and Jake decided to go back up in weight, team felt the power wasn’t there at sub 185… originally Jake was aiming to eventually get down to 175.

Aside from the draw with Rocha, Curiel also looked pretty terrible and on the verge of losing by stoppage against Ferdinand Kerobyan, who was beating the snot out of him, when he somehow pulled a miraculous Wardley-Huni type stoppage out of his ass.

Raúl "Cugar" Curiel has faced significantly better overall opposition than Víctor "Latigo" Rodríguez.

Panamanian southpaw Alberto Zuñiga "Metralleta" Mosquera was at one time a very good prospect/contender at 135/140lbs, and an internet forum darling (the way guys like Chocolatito and Gamboa were) - but that was a loooooong time ago. So while Rodríguez might have the biggest single name victory, it was a guy that debuted twenty years ago...whereas Curiel has fought a bunch of solid if unspectacular guys with his only blemish a draw against Alexis Rocha.

Cougar would've been a great nickname 20 years ago, but now since the word has taken on a new meaning, not so much.

what’s the definition? Whose definition gets to be the right one? It’s subjective and stupid.
