For people to start saying that he is the GOAT?

Somebody'll do it before the fight and then if he loses or wins sans KO (then becomes a "controversial" win) somebody will bump that particular thread and claim fanboi bias on anybody that ever thought Crawford was any good.

He would be the pound for pound goat

I would say it immediately after if he won

Even if he loses 7-5 it's a huge achievement and might make him goat

I think Bud will definitely win this. I don't see Canelo outboxing Bud, especially after seeing him against Skull.

Not GOAT, but climb up the ATG ladder. If he wins, he should aim for Bivol next. Seek greatness.

Bivol is facing Beterbiev next and that's still a risky fight given that he lost the 12th round and was in trouble numerous times in both fights too.

I hope the cards aren't rigged against Crawford and it's easy to score for the judges.

It’s impossible for him to get GOAT tag fighting once a year for 6 years. He arguably lost to Madrimov so it shows what can happen when you consistently fight high level opponents rather than reducing your workload.

I hate to sound like one of those people but if Bud beats Canelo it only means canelo is as far gone as a lot of people suspect he is. 168 Canelo from around the time of the Callum Smith fight would demolish Crawford (and rightfully so given the size disparity).

I say that in the same way that I’d say 175lbs Kovalev from around the time of first Ward fight would have demolished 175lbs Canelo.

The only reason people are thinking this fight could be competitive is because the general consensus is that Canelo is quite far past his best and has visibly slowed down.

If he wins, he’s certainly neck and neck with Usyk for best p4p of this era.

He’s already the GOAT, he’s Terence “TBE” Crawford.

Canelo is definitely slower. However, I think his size and power will be a serious problem for Crawford. Throwing Shadow111's so-called "bicep bombs" did little against Bivol, who is much larger, but Crawford will feel anything that Canelo lands flush. Moreover, ginger has a knack for deciphering an opponent's style and timing and then landing big bombs that take them out. See: Khan, Saunders, Kovalev.

Canelo should be able to punch a hole through carwford's body. I dont see him winning, tbh. If he wins it would be more canelo's fault than crawfod's success too, since he should never win this fight in normal conditions.

Agree with all that. I still expect Canelo to win. I will be shocked if Crawford wins.

People are seriously underestimating canelos technical ability it seems. Talking as if Crawford is some kind of sweetpea/leonard hybrid and canelo is a crude come forward slugger who’s only chance is to land a one bomb shot.
