Looking forward to the Zurdo v Dorticos fight in the next hour or so before Pope Jake Paul fights another old man in the lineal liberty title fight. Dangerous fight for Zurdo but he needs to fight smart for 4 rounds then his talent takes over.
That was a good card last night on DAZN Box Office up to Pope Jake Paul fighting an old man which I did not watch and went to bed after the Zurdo fight at 5am. The RBR on the general forum was an eye opener for me as I was literally the only one who thought Dorticos was only 1 round up after 5 with Zurdo winning everything afterwards. The other posters were scoring the first 5 rounds to Dorticos and thought he clearly won that fight. I do admire their dedication watching cards all over the world every week. The first 2 cards from the judges were fair 115-112, 115-112 but granted the 117-110 was far too wide. Zurdo fought a very smart fight against a very dangerous hard hitting opponent and sometimes you can't fight in a phonebox early. Not even bothering to check the outcome of the Pope Jake Paul fight.
Oh FFS just stuck Sky Sports News on to see Paul's gob and now he is seeking a fight with Anthony Joshua. Happening next year according to Pope Jake Paul and this will be one time I will be cheering on Mr Humble.
Thing is AJ doesn't need to take money to follow a script like the rest of Paul's opposition he's already loaded. I'd pay to see AJ flatten him though.
I think you're right ! I have no plans to visit Saudi anytime soon though To be honest, I'm a bit tired of His Excellency. He's the reason why many boxers have lost their hunger.
I wonder if they are giving away a lot of tickets ? There have been previous Saudi shows where many people got in for free and they subsequently reported a false attendance figure.
I bought the PPV and watched the entire main card this morning and was pleasantly surprised. Paul vs Chavez Jr didn't really interest me - it was another Jake Paul freak show - but the other 4 fights were really good.
In the post fight interview, Jake Paul mentioned a lot of names of potential future opponents, including AJ. He also said that Zurdo Ramirez looked like **** and it would be easy work for him
Would be funny if he had the bottle to fight either man. Zurdo would do a CBS to his face if he managed to show minerals to take it for 12 rounds. I get the feeling he chokes as soon as he feels pain.
You can like Jake Paul or not, but you have to respect a man who keeps setting new financial records. Every time Jake Paul fights, he generates so much money that it's incomprehensible. Last night they set a new record at the gate for a fight at the Honda Center in Anaheim.
Fair comment mate I just want to see him in with a live opponent he does that I'm sure win or lose people would respect him a lot more.
Not a clue. Google says the stadium holds, 14k, so is closed off anyway. So it looks like they've sold about 1,500
I’m very tired of him. Saudi cards have become lacklustre. No atmosphere, no urgency from the fighters etc. Just turning up for paydays.
I am astonished at the appeal of the Paul Brothers. Useless at boxing yet they extract incredible sums of loot from the pockets of the public for fighting many old men such as OAP Mike Tyson and very poor boxers such as Tommy 'Glove Island' Fury. Like Anthony Joshua MBE, I cannot see anything in boring personalities or in the boxing ring that justifies such nonsensical sums of money. Just don't get it why people are attracted to these people like flies around shyte.
