Opetaia is going to have to move up without unifying, isn’t he?

I mean, let's wait and see. Zurdo hasn't said, "no."

Good fight for Jai, but he's so good, maybe he should just move up.

Jake Paul can definitely buy a title shot & I wouldn't cast any aspersion on the bloke who gives it to him - the sport is professional boxing & the payday for fighting him will be career high. So good luck to whichever titlist that is. I hope it's Opetaia but it won't be. Jake can only fight one bloke at a time though so that still leaves a titlist for Jai to fight in a unification fight. That's who Jai should be going for. With Fast Eddie & Turki in his corner, hopefully something gets done. The other option for Jai (prior to moving to H/W) would be accepting a challenge from Bivol or Beterbiev. If he has to move to H/W, I'd like to see the Justis Huni fight & Australian boxing move forward with a Heavyweight world title challenge for the winner. That's one his crew can do in-house but I think he's got unfinished business at Cruiser before that occurs.

Even though I felt Dorticos at the very least deserved a draw last night, Zurdo looked fat and didn't look near as sharp as he did vs CBS at Goulamirian at CW albeit Dorticos' massive power and 80'' reach had something to do with that too.

Granted, Zurdo was a bad style match up for CBS and Goulamirian had been crazy inactive only having fought once in over four years and not at all in 16 months. If Zurdo does take the fight I definitely expect a better version of him vs Jai than we saw last night.

If the version we saw last night shows up Jai will get arrested for GBH. Hell, he beats the brakes off the best version of Zurdo and the only question I have re. the outcome of that fight is if Jai stops him or not (Zurdo does have a very good chin)

I think Zurdo will fight Opetaia next and Jake Paul will claim that Zurdo ducked him lol.

The credibility of boxing would be under a microscope if Paul beat Ramirez. Because no one would actually believe he did it without some kind of back room deal.

It doesn’t make him scared but if he’s a realist he knows this and he may take easier options.

He can. And that represents everything that is wrong with the sport.

No, Jake Paul is what is wrong with the sport and somebody needs to step up to take him down.

Main problem here is again the stupid belts with their ridiculously different rankings. Also they should rank title holders of other belts. And people should care less about stupid undisputed.

Then opetaia wouldn't have to hang around waiting for a fight everyone knows he will win instead of moving on to hw. And ramirez wouldn't have a belt that noone can take seriously with opetaia around, being avoided.

This stuff hurts boxing and real boxing fans by having us miss out on the relevant fights. Same with canelo holding all the belts hostage, defending against whomever he wants to because he has 'earned it'. (The youngsters apparently don't get the chance of earning it, though in this system...)

One day soon, Usyk will retire or get beaten and the 4 belts will scatter to the wind. Jai ideally needs to be settled at HW when that happens
He's 30. He should move up now if he wants to get the opportunity

The 4 orgs should have some sort of system for coming up with a unified or undisputed #1 contender once belts are unified.

Yeah four ranking orgs it too many, we should have one that reflects the truth.
Of course then we'll just have five rankings won't we?
