If this fight goes 12, it means Usyk didn't do very well.

In general, heavyweight title fights shouldn't go the distance.

Also, Usyk has stopped Dubois before. (He's the only guy Usyk has stopped in a heavyweight title fight.)

Heavyweight champions shouldn't have to rely on judges. So, if it goes 12, then that means the defending champion typically isn't doing so well.

Historically, more times than not, defending champions who go the distance in title fights tend to be harshly criticized for their performance, or they lose their titles in those fights.

Rarely, does a defending heavyweight champion go the distance with a challenger and fans consider it an amazing win. If you're having a great night as a defending heavyweight champion, you probably should've scored a KO.

It's not usually viewed as a great performance by the defending titleholder if he's standing there waiting to hear the judges scorecards. It means he didn't do his job.

    I know.

And if it goes 12, then he certainly did worse than he did the first time when he stopped this guy.

Bowe, by every measure should've beaten Holyfield in the rematch. He landed 100 more punches than his challenger, and he threw 100 more punches than his challenger. But Evander did better in the rematch than he did the first time out, and everyone got excited that he was doing so much better.

So, he got the nod. And most people don't think twice about it today.

    It happens.

If it goes 12, Dubois certainly did a lot better than he did the first time. He may not have to actually throw and land more to win in the eyes of fans or the judges.

    Evander didn't against Bowe.

Dubois will get dropped and Usyk will dominate again. Only a bodyshot KO can save Dubois from getting creamed on the cards

I don’t see this Dubois getting stopped. Win or lose he’ll finish the fight on his feet, that’s the only chance he has to have the judges help him if he comes up short on the boxing side. And I’m sure they’ll work out a game plan to not getting stopped. They can’t be that stupid not to do so.

Just one week until the fight...

Can Usyk somehow find a way to win, with the deck so badly stacked against him?

Usyk is smart enough to know the risks of fighting in Britain, so he won't be bothered by the refs and judges while KOing The Triple Knee.

When a boxer is full of quality steroids like Dubois will be, he'll be more difficult to KO. There has been no VADA testing for this fight, just the dodgy UK organization.

He appeared to be unaffected by Joshua's and Hrgovic's best punches, big difference from the Lerena fight where he was knocked down by a light puncher.

Prospect of more 132m paydays could be an effective motivation.

Maybe Usyk is on better steroids than Dubois.

Usyk is a clean and honorable man.

I wouldn't be surprised if the despicable old Fish Eyes falsely accuses him.

I don't think it will be that close and I'm sure usyks team will be making sure foul tactics are penalised

If usyk loses, I hope it's not to foul play. It would be a hollow victory for Dubois. I just hope the referee is fair and personally I think he will be. Turki calls the shots, not Frank warren

Usyk has historically been good enough and knows how to manage a ref to take dodgy refs out of consideration. But he is getting older and Dubois has had some favourable reffing performances historically.

The champ should still have enough to win even with a less than neutral ref, but I wouldn't be surprised if that combined with some judges who "like" Dubois' style is enough to sway a decision.
