In order for Bud to exceed Floyd Mayweather he has to completely dominate and stop Canelo

Mayweather already beat Canelo and so many more top guys including Pacquiao, Marquez, Hatton, Corrales, etc. I dont care about Crawfords 2x undisputed, his opposition is decent at best and that resume been bland and nothing to write home about. Spence isn't even better than Cotto H2H, he beat average fighters for his biggest accolades in comparison. If he wants to be greater than Mayweather has to do what no man have ever done and knock Canelo out

Not necessary this Canelo version even at the end of his career is a well more completed fighter than the young Canelo that Mayweather outboxed.

But for me this is almost impossible that Crawford moved up two weight classes and will make a knock out.

We already see his limits in Super Welter against Israil Madrimov (the fight was boring for me).

Mayweathers resume is too stacked full of names even with the context applied and Canelos talking about retirement fights with Eubank Jr, he's on his way out.

I'm a Crawford fan but he's not even within viewing distance of Mayweather, even if he smashes that Nelo like button.

Nah, not good enough and resume is too far behind

Floyd and manny where sensational with many ranked wins and hof fighters on their resume

Will be number 1 of his era though if he pulls it off. Though Inoue may have something to say about it, as he ain't done yet

Yes, and Canelo has an iron chin that’s been tested by bigger punchers at heavier weights. The stars would have to align for Bud to stop Canelo.

LOL No he isn't. He just stopped fighting guys with good jabs and good footwork until Bivol. Look what happened a virtual shutout by Bivol. The man did not improve he just fought guys that better suited his style.

Crawford would've had to have stopped Madrimov the way he stopped Spence for me to even contemplate him stopping Canelo. There's zero chance he can hurt Canelo when he couldn't hurt Madrimov at 154. I think Canelo will walk through Crawford's best punches, Crawford is basically going up three weight classes.

I do not think it is possible for Crawford to pass Floyd. Beating Canelo would just solidify he is a peer. Its not his fault, its possible Crawfords better than Floyd. The guys he'd need to beat to prove that are just not around. Even If Crawford went up to MW and had a reign there whose at MW?

Well, Canelo is definitely more dangerous now but a little slower. Bud is older than Money was but he's also bigger.
I think Bud probably has the harder task.
I feel like as long as he takes Canelo to skool it will be fine to call him better than Money.
If he is the first fighter to stop Canelo, then that would be simply amazing and we would have to honestly say WOW.

I dont think so. floyds resume looks much better on the surface, but when you look closely, its full of asterisks. floyd fought canelo at a catchweight, while canelo was still developing. bud is taking on canelo at his weight, 2 divisions above the highest weight bud has competed at, while canelo is still a p4p boxer. nothing floyd accomplished tops this assignment.
bud filling his body with water and soft muscle might fool the trolls who dont understand human physiology, but canelo is a bigger man. just look at the difference in the bones and arms between the 2. the joints on canelos frame are much bigger. his arms are thicker while still showing separation between muscles. while bud is plump and shows less angles on his muscles. look at the difference in circumference around the elbow joint. 2 different size frames. and bud is going to feel that difference.

Very hard to do. Bud can seek greatness by fighting Bivol.

Even if Bud hurts Canelo, it´s not like the stoppage is a guarantee. Canelo will just go on the defensive and hes nearly untouchable when he does so.
Bivol many times throughout the fight completely overwhelmed Canelo, but could barely land a few clean punches even when throwing combination after combination.

Canelo has never been knocked down.
