There is one in Edinburgh this weekend and someone I know was told he could get £2k for it, think the high profile guys get paid much better but thats defo what a general fight would be

Low end of the BKFC card even they are on buttons couple grand, high end big names they get paid well it's certainly growing and regular TV income stream also.

I watched Saturday night but couldn't really see how full the arena was, anyone here either go or any idea?

Austin Trout basically does what some people thought Gavin would be able to do, which is piece these fighters up pretty easily. But despite knocking on himself, he went straight to bare knuckle from boxing without spending years getting rusty and out of shape, before turning up half arsed for a few quid. Big big difference.

First time watching and had to look up the highlights. I was expecting it to be in some barn somewhere like that short documentary with that fat, tattooed, long-haired Geordie gypsy guy who is/was a hard *******.

That fella trout was fighting had a good go imo. Especially considering he,s actually older than trout. Think hes 44 or something like that.

Their talking of the bigger purses and biggest names in the british version being on up to 15 grand. Trout was a boxing world champion. Frankie gavin was an olympic champion. Cox was no mug. All three done it full time. Guys that are making about 8 grand a fight should never be competing with gavin, trout or cox let alone eating them in a round or two. Barring trout. Even then tho that fella put up a competetive fight at 44.

Imo....Got to be steroids competing against boxers that arent roiding. Only thing that really makes sense to me.

The disciplines a bit different granted. But is it really that much different they should be folding ex olympians in a single round.

Frankie Gavin isn't an Olympic champion. He couldn't even make weight.

I actually knew that when i was typing that out. He,s the only englishman to take gold at the world amatuer championship or something like that.

The olympic champion thing was really to save me typing that out. That was until you held me to account anyway. Very nearly got away with it.

lmao great response. Gavin was always well-respected for his skills but what a slob. That was embarrassing that bare knuckle match. He didn't sound very confident before it so he probably didn't even train for it and turned up for the money.

Probably true mate. I might be massively underestimating these bare knuckle fighters...but i still think frankie gavin should still be turning up barely trained turning up for the money and still being competetive even at 40 or whatever.

I know gavin was pretty well known for not being dedicated but surely an ex pro that trained full time....won an olympic gold medal. (Just let me run with the olympic medal thing). Access to top training regimes and top coaches...quality opposition etc. Shouldnt be getting pasted in a round by someone no ones ever heard of.

Surely when the fella told his family and friends hes fighting a decorated amatuer that fought kell brook etc. They,d probably be thinking your an idiot getting yourself involved in this.

Until he folded him in a round anyway.

I m probably wrong and am underestimating the bare knuckle fighters but slightly suspect its a case of using peds against a barely trained ex fighter turning up for the money without peds.

Pretty sure frankie used to post on here years ago. Good poster as well.

Just watched Gavin get ko'd and I think he just wanted out of it when he realised how rough it is so took an oppurtunity when it presented itself.

James Lilley who also boxed on the the card had 14 pro fights and has transitioned well into bare knuckle. You got to treat the sport with respect
