Turki has deep pockets but zero imagination. Once he ran through all the unifications he could make and Ngannou vs. NAME HERE, he sort of ran out of ideas.

    Now it's just rinse, repeat.

So Fury's last win was in 2023 a controversial decision against an MMA fighter.

But yet he gets a 3rd fight with Usyk yet again despite already losing to him twice and not earning his shot at Usyk with Fury's last win over a ranked Heavyweight being in 2022 against Whyte.

    A total farce.

Fury will likely enter the ring with the WBA Regular belt around his waist. That's the set up. In that case it'll be a Usyk mandatory, if Usyk gets past Dubois.

They were never going to waste a Usyk mandatory defense on Pulev.

WBA situation is a bit more complicated. They put a little tournament in place where the Regular title holder (Pulev vs Hunter) is to fight Interim title holder (Wardley) for the mandatory spot.

I wouldn’t mind seeing it, the last one was closer than many think, Fury did have more success, too many are in the mindset that if a fighter has beaten someone twice, that means they can’t fight them again, do you know how many times that happened in the mid-early 1900s? It was common place, and there were plenty of guys that lost twice to one guy the first 2, then won the 3rd.

I disagree, I think it was easy for usyk. He was in cruise control and most of Fury's shots where glancing blows

Yes but the difference is back in the early 1900s fighters were fighting every couple of weeks back then.

Usyk on the other hand has had like 5 fights in 4 years and his last 6 fights have all been against the same 3 fighters and it will be 7 if he fights Fury yet again.

So no I've think we've all had enough of Usyk rematching the same British fighters especially since Fury has done nothing at world level for 3 years in regards to winning to earn his shot at Usyk.

It makes more sense for Fury to be fighting the likes of AJ or Zhang as a comeback fight before even entertaining the idea of a third Usyk fight. I would have been somewhat supportive of this fight if Fury actually earned his right for a third fight if he had fought and beaten guys like Joseph Parker or Agit Kabayel first. Fury has done absolutely nothing of worth these past 2 years other than getting his ass kicked by Usyk twice and arguably losing to Ngannou.

Honestly would be really disappointed in Usyk if he actually does end up agreeing to sign up for another pointless rematch. But I guess the money they are offering is too good for him to not accept.

Usyk still has Dubois to figure out, are they doing this to unsettle him? He would know that planning out a big fight just before a dangerous fight isn't the wisest thing to do.

Suspect timing. Once again Fury wants to be the centre of attention just before a major fight.

It's a good money fight for Usyk but Fury doesn't deserve it, he lost twice and there's been a line for contenders for 4 years. You don't know how Usyk fairs against the other contenders. We don't even know how well Fury does against the top 10 now. How are we so sure he beats Kabayel, Hrgovic, Parker, Ajagba when he struggled with Wallin and Wilder.

Didn't you hear? Usyk is the most talented HW we've ever seen he has nothing left to prove. Let him do what he wants. If he wants to turn the HW title into a closed round robin hes earned that right. Sam Langford rematched fighters as many times as he wanted and Usyk is basically Sam Langford.

The whole situation is frankly absurd.

Ok, Fury hangs tough. But does it mean he deserves a 3rd fight? Considering he never rematch Wlad. Come on! Please guys, get off this man's nuts! There is no justification for a 3rd fight.

    Indeed...

It's as if Turki is just building cards around fights he wants to see, as a relatively casual fan, then relying on that to sell and letting someone else build the rest of the cards.

It's almost as if it's not really a structured business plan or in any sense a care for doing the right thing by the sport as a hobby for someone with money on a scale very few humans will ever understand.

    Indeed.

And you just know if Fury did somehow win (exceptionally unlikely though that is), he'd run for the hills claiming he won all 3 and just needed honest judges... Even IF there was then appetite for a 4th he wouldn't do it.
