We dont know that but if the next heavyweight great does that it would be pretty special. Wladimir Klitschko basically did that.

You may be right, but we are tired of seeing fury usyk they had two dances, one has proven superior, nothing else to see, a win or loss to either doesn’t change the balance of superiority. Actuslly better for usyk to fight Parker a fight he should be favourite yet adds breadth to his heavyweight run. Fury is of course using turki to muscle usyk and who is going to say no to loads of cash? Lol

Or maybe usyk is being too confident he beats fury any day any time and wants to squash the big man’s ego for good in front of his home crowd, maybe it’s personal, maybe it’s just loads of cash, dunno, but would have loved to see usyk Parker before he retired as he’s pretty much semi retired after the Dubois fight

(if it happens) Usyk will finish him this time I think. All for the trilogy. Both fights were great HW boxing. Sucks that Fury put a damper on the fights reputation with his pre and post fight antics.

Ali was 1-1 with both Frazier and Norton when he had their their respective third fights. Being 1-1 and going for a trilogy makes perfect sense.

Yeah I know that, that's what I meant by good reason, plus he fought way more than 10 ranked guys in his career

Have to disagree there. Usyk did enough and won more rounds, but most of the rounds were razor close. It was a surprisingly underwhelming fight for how close it was.

Nah Usyk beat Fury 9 rounds to 3. The first fight was razor close, not the rematch. Usyk stops him

Usyk needs to stop fighting these UK guys over and over and over. This is getting ridiculous. Fight someone else.

I said he won more rounds. There just wasn't much separating them round per round.

I thought Usyk outlanded him clearly in most rounds. Fury didn't step on the gas, maybe because he couldn't, but he got comprehensively outboxed

I would typically be against something like this, but I'm ok with a third fight. These two guys are so superior to the rest of the division, that it only makes sense for them to fight again. Both of these fighters roll all other HWs in the world, DDD, Parker, and Kabayel included.

Oh, for the love of Don King’s hair and a glass of my finest whiskey, can someone please tell me why we’re being force-fed a third helping of Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk in April 2026? Fury’s already lost twice—twice!—and yet here we are, watching the Gypsy King try to reclaim his crown like a washed-up Elvis impersonator squeezing into a rhinestone jumpsuit two sizes too small.

Back in the glory days, if you lost twice, you didn’t get a third shot—you got a new career. Maybe you opened a car dealership. Maybe you sold used gloves at the flea market. But you didn’t clog up the heavyweight division like a bad drain, holding every contender hostage while you cashed another check and practiced your post-fight karaoke.

This isn’t a rivalry, it’s a rerun—like watching Rocky V on loop and expecting a different ending. The only thing more pointless than this trilogy is Fury’s promise to retire “for good” after every fight.

This isn’t about legacy, it’s about legacy money. The division’s frozen, the fans are bored, and the only thing getting a workout is Fury’s jaw—unfortunately, only when he’s talking. If boxing wants to save itself, it’s time to stop recycling yesterday’s news and give tomorrow’s contenders a shot. Otherwise, we’ll all be asleep faster than Fury after a Usyk left hand.

And honestly, at this point, I’m just hoping this whole thing is one big bad joke. Maybe someone will jump out from behind the ring with a camera and say, “Gotcha!”—because if this is the future of heavyweight boxing, then the punchline’s on all of us

LOL at anybody saying that this effect's Usyk's legacy the guy has more or less beaten the best heavyweights of his era Parker and Kabayel are good fighters but really in years to come will just be remembered as random contenders.
Usyk is pushing 40 and nobody should blame the great man for taking the biggest money fight possible before ending his career. I agree with what others have said it would be nice for Fury to at least get one good win against a top 10 guy before the trilogy.

What top 10 fighter in the last 9 years has Fury beaten that others haven't beaten in easier fashion
