He had a really weird, distinct style.

Off the top of my head I can only think of Anthony Mundine..

Shane Mosley had similar punching mechanics and explosive fast twitch tendencies but I can't say they fought alike

Manny Pacquiao fought like Roy in his 4th fight with Marquez
Duran emulated Roy against Thomas Hearns
Michael Spinks channeled Roy when Michael fought Iron Mike
Vladimir Klitschko fought like Roy during his bought with Corrie Sanders…
    I’m sure there’s others…

Yeah Mundine based his style on Roy Jones he obviously wasn't as good as Roy but he was very athletic with great hand speed and reflexes. He had the same problems as Jones at the back end of his career in his late 30's when his reflexes had slowed which is when most of his losses occurred.

On a more serious note, Sergio Martinez

I always thought David Haye borrowed elements of RJJs style - pot shotting, fast twitch reflexes, arms down. He's another one who floundered with that style once he got old.

Jean Pascal idolises Roy and mimics him a lot when he fights, even hired him as his trainer for a while.

See how fast and powerful Ryan Garcia was on steroids? Yeah, that was RJJ through the 1990s and 2000s. A good boxer with elite results because he was a lousy ****ing cheat.

    Jaron Ennis.
Roy was more "gifted" but I think Ennis was more technical and well rounded. Roy relied too much on his physical talents, this is why I rank Floyd higher

Derrick Gainer was a poor man's Roy Jones Jr. They were good friends and Gainer mimicked Roy's style almost exactly. He was good but no Roy Jones.

Who cares? It's a crappy style that relies on being fast and on lots and lots of juice. And once your reflexes go you're a sitting duck. It's all for show and not for blow as my grandad would say.

+1 Derrick Gainer. Exactly the fighter I was trying to retrieve the name of.

If Roy was simply a product of PED´s then we would see more examples of Roy Jones Jr. The man was a freak athlete, and anyone who can replicate that through PED´s is going to be a very wealthy person.
