I have no doubt that Turyi wants the third fight, and so does Usyk. But I am not sure that Fury really wants any more of that. I think he'll beat a couple of bums, take the Joshua fights, and if that works out, fight for a vacant title when Usyk retires. Allen is obvious, and someone...was if Frank Warren?...mentioned "the undefeated Albanian" as a possible tune-up the other day. This is all with the caveat that if if Fury wants Usyk, he's getting him. Usyk said he wanted that to be his last fight, and the Turkyi money is there, so all Fury has to do is sign.
I think, sadly, Fury will go for Usyk - his ego won't allow him to accept that he's been clearly and unquestionably outclassed twice. You're probably right that he'll fight some poor opponents first, and probably look bad doing it.
Is it not better for his ego to shout that he won twice without actually getting beat by him again? If they fight, it’d primarily be a money affair imo as deep down he’ll have serious doubts he can win. He’s showed usyk two completely different styles and forms and got beat
Dave Allen fight, might just happen. But I thought they were friends at one point. So in that case maybe not. In Fury's mind he's probably thinking if he loses to Usyk three times it's really only one loss because it's to the same man. In a way, it's sort of true. Way back in the Froch v Groves days, Fury predicted Froch in the rematch saying if a man beats a man he'll beat him again. That's one of those wise Gypo sayings.
I'm not diminishing Fury's achievements, but he doesn't deserve another fight with Usyk at this point, let him fight for that chance again because there are others who deserve that chance more, Fury vs. Joshua is a fight that would make sense now because they are in a similar situation..
Dave Allen? What’s the point? Fury would win every round without issue, assuming Fury trains. They aren’t the same class of fighter. if Allen is going to get beat up for money, I hope it’s a lot of money.
