If you take away all Roy's speed and give him a titanium chin, he's just Antonio Margarito, stylistically.
And if you take it a step further and you take away Roy's legs too, then he's just a paraplegic, stylistically.
The closest and most obvious imitation of Toy I ever saw was HW Kelvin Price. He wasn't much good, but I think he was trained by Roy at one point or something and at a glance looked a lot like Roy minus the reflexes and explosiveness.
In some ways Yuriorkis Gamboa reminded me of Roy Jones Jr with the way he had a lower guard, threw punches from odd angles and relied primarily on his athletic gifts, superior hand speed and power. And like Roy Jones Jr once his speed and reflexes slowed down he was much more vulnerable and his lack of real technical skills got the better of him.
Apart from ridiculous physical attributes he had an off the charts ring IQ . He was such a great athlete that his IQ in the ring is severely underestimated
That's kind of like asking "who fights similar to Floyd Mayweather Jr.?" The answer is hundreds if not thousands have aped part or all of their style, while only a small literal handful did so with any measure of high-level success. Freak athletes, both, who got away with things 99.99% of boxers shouldn't even try. Jones probably more so, as Mayweather cleaved far closer to fundamentals as taught in old-school gyms.
