Crawford looks fay now. Sure he'll drain down but it will cost him.

I see a repeat of SRL-DURAN III with both guys showing too much respect for each other and trying not to be the one to lose. Basically a glorified sparring session PAAAADAAAY.

So a boxer who has never been down (IIRC), never truly hurt, never even stumbled around, is going to get ko'd.
A guy who took massive direct punches from a true 168er (GGG) and light heavyweights (Kovalov and Bivol), is going to get stopped by a welterweight?

    Sure. Uh huh. Ok.

Then put your money where your mouth is a bet some money on Crawford.

Actually…great point about Canelo. I don’t think the second GGG fight was a robbery, and he looked great in both fights - but besides that, I agree with everything you said.

One of the only things boxing consistently tells us is that there are weight classes for a reason, but somehow people believe Crawford is going to jump up 2 weight divisions and knock out a guy who Kovalev or Bivol couldn't put a dent in. I think Crawford looks great for the first few rounds, maybe even makes it look too easy, takes his eye off the ball like Khan did against Canelo, and then because of the insane weight difference, it'll be lights out immediately.

When this fight was first speculated as a possibility, I was one of the few that thought Crawford had a chance. Style wise is isn't an easy fight for Canelo. Canelo is the same fighter he has always been and throughout his career he has struggled against good boxers who made him have to chase and cut off the ring, he's far more effective against a stationary target or one that is coming to him and giving him opportunities to counter.

Crawford is smart and knows he has to box and keep Canelo at a safe distance, using movement and his reach advantage like he did against Spence, he can't afford to trade too often with Canelo as Canelo is the type of fighter that can turn a fight around with 1 good punch. So I don't see this being as easy fight for Canelo.

I'm picking Crawford to win a decision. He'll keep it long, will frustrate Canelo and while I think it will be a competitive bout, Crawford does enough to win, question is will he get the decision? The fight is happening in Vegas and they tend to award aggression even ineffective aggression, so wouldn't be surprised to see Crawford get robbed on the official cards.

It's really hard to get excited over this fight because it is so random, both are at a diminishing age, and their last bouts were terrible. I'd go with Canelo strictly because of the weight difference. For all of Crawford's talent, he's easy to hit and doesn’t always put on a Spence type of performance.

    You forgot Fury was also:

Fat, on cocaine, on boar meat, on nandrolone, drunk while masturbating seven times a day and with ALL THAT going on he was still able to uppercut himself in the face and withstand the punch.

    Truly inspiring.

I’ve tossed and turned in bed dreaming about this match.

I think Bud boxes Canelo from the outside whilst taking Canelo's best shots.

The moment Bud tastes Canelo’s one shot power he’ll keep his distance.

Or maybe Canelo humbles Bud, greeting him with a nice fruit basket at hospital.

Do you see this as competitive? Do you think it could turn into a classic? Or will it be a let down like Canelo Charlo? Will Bud actually come to fight? Does he have a real chance here? Or will Canelo be too much?
