Precisely so they weren’t good contenders in “the grand scheme of things” LIKE I SAID just cruiser sized guys in cruiser sized eras Ali struggled with some of said guys despite being a weight class bigger (Jones, Mildenberger, Cooper etc) it is a black mark on Ali none of those guys would be HW contenders in future eras… waiting for a technical breakdown of why Terrell was such a great jabber especially against Ali, seeing as you think it’s a feat to overcome Terrell’s great jab… running still rabbit?

Didn't Ali stop Cooper and Mildenberger and rearrange their faces in the process? And decisioned Jones?

Yes he did. Its my contention that
    Terrell
    Folley
    Machen
    Jones
    Chuvalo
    Williams
Would be contenders in any era previous to the 60's.
We have a silly sausage trying to bait me,but I'd rather engage with someone who knows what they are talking about and can offer more than childish insults for an argument.

The souhtpaw had a good first two rounds until Ali figured him out and started to reassemble his facial features.

Yea but 4 rounds, in 3 rounds fight Williams would beat too if fight was only scheduled to be 3 rounder.

I wonder how would fight end if that was 1919 prime Dempsey in 12 rounds fight.

He wouldn't, he struggled to stop Wepner in 9 rounds, in 12 rounds or 14 rounds, Liston would be too tired because McBride is bigger and stronger man than Wepner.

Liston midle aged would not beat McBride, prime for prime different story.

Sam Langford, despite being an ATG,was declining when Meehan defeated him.
Jack Dillon deserves the utmost respect-he was after all a world light-heavyweight champion. But
who did he beat amongst the heavyweight-contenders that makes him better than,or indeed as good as,
    Leotis Martin ?
