If you could change one rule about boxing what would it be?

I would make title fights 15 rounds and change the rounds to 2 minutes and 24 seconds. Robberys would go away.

 

I changed the time of the rounds so it'd be the same fight time as a 12 rounder. They wouldn't be fighting longer we'd just be dividing that time into 3 more frames.

The problem with 12 rounders is how its more likely to yield a non decisive outcome not that fighters aren't fighting enough. Not only is it 3 rounds shorter than 15 its an even number. If 13 wasn't seen by much of the West as cursed changing it to 13 would work to.

People have shorter attention spans today so the 2.24 works better for that reason to.

Could also make it an even 2.20 and fights would be a minute shorter overall.

 

No more 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 round fights

add a round, you’ll get less draws, odd rounds > even ones

Thats the amount of time that keeps title fights exactly the same duration at 15 rounds as they are now at 12. We could do 2.20 in the name of it looking nice and even.

 

Strict enforcement of rules. Right now so much depends on how permissive the ref is.

 

Hi Guys.
Any and all judges that are out of step with their 2 counterparts, should have to resit the fight in front of their peers to explain their scoring, if in the feelings of said peers the scoring is way out of sync, the judge should be demoted on the spot, and have a marker aside their name, and be monitored for the next five fights, if the judge is still way out, then dismissal should be mandatory.
