Ali was a major inspiration for Roach. He even built his famous Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood, California, hoping that "the next Muhammad Ali would walk through the door." He later said that Manny Pacquiao became his "Muhammad Ali." I pass his gyn three times a week when I'm driving my wife to work. I started a thread the other day that I saw him walking with another gentleman and he was holding a cup from Starbucks which was presumably from the Starbucks across the street.
You mean he drinks coffee just like a normal person? And walks into and out of his workplace? Damn. Btw, I hate Starbucks. Bitter, overpriced coffee and their selection of pastries isn’t too good either. They are opening a location near my home and picked a spot right across one of two three-way intersections I have to traverse to get off the loop where my abode is located (it’s sort of a cut-through between a fairly major road — the most major for the area where I live — and one that’s perpendicular to it). There’s no light at either intersection and it can be maddening to try to turn left off of either (and turning right on either doesn’t take you anywhere but into some residential areas). So now it’s going to have people pulling in and out all the time making it double hard. Freddie needs to stop supporting Starbucks.
