In an interview Stevenson called Ray Robinson "buns", can Stevenson do anything in the ring with the same grace that Robinson did?

Robinson is the GOAT and would crush Shakur, a guy who plays tag for 12 rounds once per year, wheras Sugar would fight multiple times a year against, hard, hard men

Shakur speaks like a young man that didn't have a father in his life.

Shakur suffers from a lack of attention and the fact that he will never be on his level, the truth hurts...

Don't know why king turki entertained this fool.

Nothing worse than an arrogant ignorant boring AND ugly person/fighter. You can have a few of these qualities but not all of them. Like me personally I'm an abominable human being but I am sexy so get away with it.

I do pity boring fighters but they can have other redeemable qualities

He's entitled to his opinion. It's an interesting insight to see how one of the top talents of the modern day views and digests the skills and ability of his predecessors imo. Shakur watched tape of Robinson and formed his own opinion and also didn't see anything he wanted to pick up and integrate into his own style. I don't really see anything wrong with that. Also he said that Robinson was "buns," not that he is a bum.

I try not to think about Shakur Stevenson as i invariably end up falling asleep. One of the most boring fighters in the history of boring fighters.

Buns in slang means bad, low quality, terrible, ass. Basically anything negative which is what Shakur is implying about SRR. To me that's disrespectful towards the man that is not only the GOAT but also helped evolve the sport. Imagine if Shakur outright insulted Ali with a similar remark because of his technical flaws.

Nothing wrong with having an opinion and thinking old boxers style are primitive by todays standard but the way he was dismissive about one of the pioneers of boxing just doesn't sit well.

Same guy who used to fight more than 5 fights a year and has fought the likes of Henry Armstrong, Kid Gavilan, Jake LaMotta, Carmen Basilio, Rocky Graziano, Gene Fullmer. SRR was a full on badass in the ring, a real fighting machine.

He specifically said about SRR "What buns!"

The 20th century may as well be considered ancient history to young American boxers. Only Mike Tyson gets respect and that's because he's still alive. And Mike had much respect for older day boxers.

It's a lot of fun when we do the fantasy matchups, comparing current boxers with past greats. But it is much healthier for these current guys that a time machine does not exist, because if there's any way in this universe that Ray Robinson and Shakur could get together in the ring, the truth would come to SS very quickly and brutally.

Shakur should have studied how Ray punched and finished fighters.
