It's a common case for fighters becoming more elusive, slick, crafty or defensive.
As father time creeps closer, the lungs and legs of a now old man doesn't hold up like how it was before, they become more conservative and relies more on experience and technique to prevail.

It's the common case..but were there any boxers who as they get older, they ramped up their engine and went harder instead? Thinking that being technical hold them back, they rampaged even further, just like an ol' Scot drunkard after 5 bottles of whiskey..

Lloyd Honeyghan went from being a fast in-and-out boxer to a swarmer who tried to overwhelm opponents with pure volume. Curiously, he made this transition while he was world champion. This worked until he tried it on Marlon Starling.

Ayub Kalule had no power and a weak chin, so why he became a swarmer after dropping his 154-pound title is beyond me.

Eddie Cotton became more aggressive after a 13-year career (1947-60) when he switched manager/trainers from Frisco McGale to George Chemeres. McGale was known as a master teacher of defensive boxing, but his own career in the 20s and 30s had been hampered because his fights weren't exciting, and the style he taught his fighters mirrored his own style. Cotton left McGale in the late 1950s and asked Chemeres to manage him. George at first declined because Eddie's style wasn't exciting, but Eddie persisted so George took him on and pushed him to be more aggressive. The change re-charged Cotton's career and he went on to be a leading contender for the final seven years of his career.

Cesar Chavez at one time tried to force KO’s and didn’t look great in spots before he did… I’d say Hagler by the end as his legs left him became more combative, Ali too and I think that Fury is the same - I think only Fury really fits your request doe.

Usyk perhaps? Slowing down a bit, therefore planting more, hitting harder with badder intentions? Looking forward to his fight vs DDD.

Michael Dokes converted from a boxer to more of a puncher later in his career and with it became somewhat more aggressive

    Darren Barker.

Even Carl Froch, to an extent, boxed more early in his career.

Quite a few do this via falling in love with their power. Wilfredo Gomez and Edwin Rosario fit the bill.

Corrie Sanders. He was more of a boxer type when he was young. As he got older he started appreciating saving the extra 10-11 rounds of effort by knocking them out early. There was time for golf if the fight was wrapped up in 1!

He actually changed very early in his career. The early version flew around the ring with Larry Holmes caliber legs. like the first 3 or years of his career. But they were gone when he put on a little bit of weight and it was 1980. Still had the fast hands but not the fast feet to go with it.

Winky Wright for sure. He was a mover for the first 40 plus fights but ince he committed to the high guard, he started walking guys down with his right jab and pushing guys back instead of moving laterally. Pretty much from the Vargus fight on, he was right in front of guys.

    Spot on.
Look at the precise technical boxer who beat Rosi and Shufford than look at the brawler outboxing Blocker.
He combined the two styles well in the Curry fight but he was still far moreso a boxer in that fight than a brawler.

The schizophrenia of these 2 styles came to roost in the Starling fight where he did a U Turn in his career starting round 5 and decided to go back to being a boxer....it was too late....the physical damage was done both in that fight and a long career of partying out of the ring and greatly diminished reflexes and chronically damaged hands. His decline started from the Blocker fight.
Once he was unable to take hand injections after the Starling fight he was never again able to utilise his power punching at world level. He had to hold back his hands wouldn't allow him.
In his next fight 6 months later he went 10 rounds with a tough journeyman with a poor record and boxed throughout...the first 4 rounds he took flush shot after shot and landed the same to no effect on his journeyman opponent
