Shakur is good and I give him full credit for beating Zepeda but I still think SRR is clearly levels above Shakur by a big margin. SRR would have easily knocked out a guy like Zepeda. Shakurs defense is great but SRR’s footwork and firepower is something to behold.

Sugar Ray Robinson wouldn't have taken half an hour to knock out an electrician. Who is advising this dude, and why can't he keep his mouth shut? No wonder Arum couldn't wait to see the back of him.

I thought Shakur gave a great performance against Zepeda, but it’s clear he’s trying to emulate Floyd here and it won’t work. He know’s in his heart this isn’t true. He’s insecure so he says this to get his confidence up just like Floyd!

Shakur’s opinions on other great fighters and how he views himself is quite something. He thinks he’s better than Muhammad Ali and doesn’t think that highly of Naoya Inoue. He thinks Inoue is on the same level as Ryan Garcia and Jake Paul.

Well, boxing does result in people being punched in the head. Apparently, Shakur's head has been damaged.....severely.

Shakur needs to be checked for CTE at this stage. If Inoue were from inner-city Chicago, Shakur would be calling him the GOAT. It's a mix of American exceptionalism and the fact that Inoue is an incredibly exciting fighter to watch; that's what gets Shakur upset. He can't fathom that people would rather watch a rapid, explosive combination puncher than his 12-round sparring matches, where he completely refuses to engage.

Though I haven't seen the interview and I wonder what the actual context was, regardless of me not agreeing with him, the man can have an opinion. I wouldn't call any great a "bum" but some people use that term simply because they don't like the style in which the fighter competes.

I mean, look at the responses on this board about Shakur especially have this comment. I see here and other places people belittling this man and his skill in the ring simply because you don't like the style in which he competes. He's an elite fighter who clearly has been looking to fight the best in the divisions he's competed in and for one reason or another, those fighters are hesitant in stepping in the ring with him.

I'm sure most on this board have never watched a Sugar Ray Robinson fight from start to finish and they say he's great because everyone else says he's great. Boxing fans unlike other major sport fans, believe the best of their sport is all in the past. No fighter today can compete with the era of _____'s era. Regardless of the new age training, sports medicine, larger pool of talent, exposure, etc... Only athletes in team sports like basketball, football, etc... are better than their pioneers.

My point is, without seeing the actual interview, Shakur is just like any of these other young athletes/kids who believe they are much better than those who did it before them. Not a big deal honestly. Shakur is talented but has his flaws. Sometimes flaws can be in the judgement of another fighter......
