    I can only think of Usyk as an example. Everyone else always looses when the fight is close.

    His resume overall is looking mediocre. Plant got beaten cleaner against a guy from the weight class below and Morrell just had a very close and controversial fight where he was hurt way worse than he was against Benavidez. Most of the rest of the guys he's fought are lost in the wind.

    Khataev landed on gloves most of the time. Morrell landed the better shots outside the KD. But you know how it goes on ESB. Every close fight is a robbery to someone.

    He is a beast. power, tough as a tank can box. Great fight for both. Tough fight for Morrell I think he learned a lot from it. He really needs to move his head more though, even with a high guard he is way too static and needs to slop more punches. Benavidez is much better in that area.

    Morrell has arguably lost all 3 of his fights at LHW now and the only fighter he has dropped in those fights is Benavidez. The Morrell vs Hot Rod scorecards were scandalous that was a really close and competitive fight

    Betterbiev smashed Hot Rod and stopped a prime Gvozdyk and the poor man's Betterbiev just beat Morrell in seemingly most observer's eyes

    I scored it for 95-94 Morrell for that very reason. Still, it was a one point kind of match, no reason to get pissy about people complaining about the decision.

    In the second half of the fight Khataev was hitting on the guard a lot, yes. In the first half, he was landing clean, often.

    I really like Subriel but he is quite stiff and fairly limited. I can't quite tell whether Puello is the type of guy that Subriel is going to shine against or whether he's gonna get kept at range and have his head jabbed off. I can pretty easily see this fight just being Matias standing upright and out of range getting touched up on the gloves and arms without getting into a groove or the chance to let his hands go. Or maybe he just bludgeons Puello. This is the only fight which I'm really on the fence about.
