Pavlik also got hurt against no name opponents like when he got dropped by Bedburdick & Zuniga, being briefly hurt in a fight doesn't mean you're chinny so imo the jury is still out on Sheeraz's punch resistance.

Solid night of fights overall. Saw a ton of grit in Morrell-Khataev, seemingly nonstop action in Matias-Puello, a performance both men can be proud of in Stevenson-Zepeda and a big knockout to cap off the night.

Was it all the best display of boxing? Nah, but I've been let down by other cards I looked forward to a lot more. Tonight was a definite win in that regard.

I'm no Stevenson fan but Zepeda was non-stop action but not connecting. He landed body shots but almost no head shots. He had nothing on his punches. I had it 9-3, possibly 8-4. Zepeda didn't impress me. He thought he could win on work rate.

Zuniga was a big puncher though he had 25 stoppages out of 28 wins and he's Colombian and pretty much every notable Colombian boxer I've ever seen they can all whack.

Berlangy ran his big mouth like he was getting paid $1 million for every word but you're signing your own death warrant when you run your mouth against a Brit because we take that real personal and are always going to punish anyone severely for doing so

Brits don't talk ***, quit, joust PEDs in our asses, or do Tom and Jerry boxing and whenever we do see a rare instance of one doing some of those things 100% guaranteed they were inspired to do so by Roy or are fans of the modern American school of slickness :deal:

yeah tonight had 5 solid fights. Can’t complain. Not the best card ever, but far FAR from the worst. Solid fights.

Hey speaking of Brits, this is off topic but I gotta ask Serge. Are you still riding high on Dickens pulling off the upset like I am? I feel like I was one of like, five people that picked that one. I knew he could do it but I almost couldn't believe how it went down

Agreed, Zuniga definitely had heavy hands but the fact that Pavlik was also badly hurt against Bedburdick should show that anyone can go down if they're caught properly, so yes Sheeraz has been hurt and dropped but that still doesn't mean he's chinny.

What was special about Pavlik was how quickly he recovered after being hurt.

I don't see any true subjectivity just pure bias and a lack of real knowledge.

I didn't actually see the fight sans the finish IIRC but I was really pleased for Jazza

I don't think I even knew he was fighting that day or for a world title. Wasn't it on a weekday? I think so but I might be remembering that wrong

Good call for getting it right I think Jazza was brought in to lose

Belly studied and graduated at the modern American school of slickness via the Open University and he worships all the PED ATGs and trash talkers from across the pond
