No you're remembering right. It was on a Wednesday, and on in the morning/early afternoon stateside I think. Very weird time slot, which sort of added to the unreal feeling of it.

And yeah he most definitely was. Everyone saw it being a quick nights work for Batyrgaziev but I dunno, something about it screamed upset to me. Maybe it was just my general love for underdogs pulling it off, but I just couldn't get their last performances out of my head.

Berlanga talked a bunch of aggressive, stupid **** to Oscar at some media event leading up to the fight, completely ignoring his actual opponent. Threw some panties and some cash at Oscar. If I was a Rican, I'd disown dude and I would totally take middle-aged Oscar in a parking lot with all the cameras turned off. Oscar might get in his ass if the mood struck him.
