I wanted to come on here to express my remorse for not paying the $60 to see that punk get KOd... Yes, I know I can see it in replay and yes I was extremely happy to hear that idiot got knocked, but I wish I would have ponied up to see it. Would have added to the posterity maybe. I hope it humbles his foul-mouthed, punk a$$ attitude, but I very much doubt it . Good things happen sometimes. Glory .
If it makes you feel any better, the rest of the fight leading up to it wasn't much to write home about. Kinda like Zhang-Wilder in that regard. Cool stoppage, pretty meh in every other regard. ...But yeah, not to rub salt in the wound, it was pretty satisfying seeing his obnoxious ass hit the canvas
With Berlanga it seemed like a matter of "when" not "if" I thought the Canelo fight would be where he would get KO'd, but it appears Canelo isn't what he once was. I remember when he was getting hyped hard for all his first round KOs and thinking that doesn't mean much considering his level of opponent, but he might continue and improve from there. Turns out he actually is a dickhead, maybe not all that bright and its not all an act.
In Canelo's defence he won every single round against Berlanga, dropped him heavily, and didn't break a sweat, he was in autopilot. Could've probably beat him in the same manner as Sheeraz did if he could be arsed putting his foot on the gas.
I wonder if Canelo still has it when he needs to, because its been a few fights now where he seemed happy to just cruise to a decision. Can he still KO someone a la BJS or Plant? Or is he past that point now.
I didn't say he carried Munguia? Munguia was fresher and probably juicing in that one, but Canelo still beat him. I'm not a massive fan of Alvarez and his tainted horse meat, but it seems pointless to try to discredit everything he's done at 168 based on the triangle theory.
