    They were in denial.

I've barely hit 30 and I'm struggling pretty bad with the mental reality of aging. I can only imagine the stuff a 40 and 50 year old is going through. I think to them defending Tyson was personal and they really weren't using logic. They were defending a past they identified with against a toxic present they hate. I don't blame them but Tyson never had a chance and deep down they knew it hence hedging their bets with various iterations of "if Jake Paul wins you know it was rigged". Do you think any of those people ever throw around accusations of fight fixing for regular fights? Nope they did it because they knew exactly what was going to happen and they wanted to deny it.

Butterbean was 17 years younger than Holmes. If you give him another senior fight he could have looked amazing in 2002. Heck if you give Tyson the right senior fight right now he could look good.

Yeah, I'm big a believer in physiology when it comes to weight and age. That is why I can't take seriously the people who believe Rocky Marciano would have been competitive with a peak Lewis or Foreman.

I'm guessing that it is money. Probably offers them a deal to not try to win, help him look good, make $8million. Come out and try to win, take your chances win or lose, $500,000. Tyson was 58-?- and, whatever else you say about Paul, he has been training and putting in work for a while now, so it is no guarantee that Tyson would beat him at 58. And, if he did, then what? Usyk, lol? So take the $8million, go out and put on a show, don't do anything rash.

Yes...I speak in jest...but imagine after all of it....one day on his deathbed at 94...Jake Paul...who started out as a YouTube prankster...announces it was all a lifelong prank....to prank his way to a social media boxing career that surpassed any other boxer financially in history.

Jake only take fights he believes he can win, especially if the other guy doesn't have a huge mainstream name. Badou is 41, has he reached the stage where he could potentially lose?

Thats his best chance to get a title. Whatever Pauls chances its unlikely they'll ever get higher than fighting Jack. Jack would be 42 by the time this fight happened. His birthday is Halloween.

On Jacks end its a chance to get a big payday for a very winnable fight. If you take Paul out of the picture the big fight for Jack would be unifying with Jai. He'd make less money he'd almost certainly lose and his championship career would probably be over. If you're a champ and you get more money for a fight with Jake Paul you think you're going to win why would you turn that down? If he beats the bleep out of Jake Paul which he no doubt thinks he can do it could make Jack a superstar and make his final fights more lucrative.

    I see this fight happening.

Jake is extremely meticulous with the fights he takes. If Jake doesn't feel like can comfortable win, he won't take the fight, even for a chance at a title. If he's to ever take a fight where he feels there's a chance he can lose, it would have to be a far bigger name than Badou Jack.

I've no doubt Canelo would beat him, but Jake would feel much more comfortable fighting a 5'7" man, than a 6'1" guy like Jack. I think Jake knows by now, his power only really has any impact when he's fighting a much smaller man.

Its a title fight. He ain't getting no "comfortable win" in a title fight. Thats not going to happen for him and he knows it.

If he can get the Canelo fight to fall through, he'll get an opponent in his delusional mind at least, he'd think he can beat for a shot at the title. Jake has commented a few times that he thinks his size will give Canelo a challenge (it won't) but I do believe he thinks that.

Jake Paul is a Cruiserweight 2 weight classes north of Canelo though. I can't see him making 168 to fight for Canelos belt.

True, it couldn't be for the belt if Jake is expected to make the 168 championship weight.

The ranked guys at CW are just too big for him and I know he knows that. Anything in boxing is possible with the right amount of money though.
