Not from a resume standpoint but from an in the ring standpoint Crawford, Usyk and Inoue are getting older Canelo is clearly past it It's Shakur
Even though Usyk and Crawford are old and it were true that Shakur is better than them at this point in their careers (he's not better than either he's just much younger and in the midst of his prime and his resume doesn't even come close to Crawford's, let alone Usyk's), how in God's name is he better than Bivol or Inoue? Bivol has schooled a way better version of the Clenelo of today with ease and beaten Beterbiev (both top 5 P4P) who most feel he should be 2-0 against and even a 39-40 y/o Beterbiev is light years better than anyone Shakur has ever beaten and if Shakur was in vs a 135lb 39-40 y/o version of Beterbiev last night instead of Zepeda do people actually believe Shakur would win? Shakur was petrified of De Los Santos' power for goodness sake Beterbiev is arguably the biggest puncher in the sport, hits way harder than Zepeda, is much more skilful with a much higher ring IQ, with a much better chin, and he can maintain the pressure from round 1 to round 12 whilst beating you up and breaking you down with seriously heavy shots not pity pats.
You've gotta tip your cap to Shakur for an incredible performance. He didn't run, he didn't hide, Jerry beat up Tom fighting fire with fire he deserves all the credit in the world for that performance.
I wish he had more power He's very skilled and extremely accurate. Resume might not be the best yet, but his accuracy may already be the best If his chin holds up? It's not a question of if he comes p4p, but when Idiot at times and his bs about robinson was just nonsense. But he's extremely skilled and he beats the guy everyone was calling better than robinson only a few years ago. I'm confident of that. I think Shakur is much better than tank or haney
Remember CBS had Shakur ranked above Usyk P4P when Usyk was the reigning three-weight HW champion, former undisputed CW champion, who had won and unified all his world titles in his opponent's backyards had never had home advantage in any of his world title fights or fights at the world level and Shakur was a two-weight champion who had beaten a whopping 2 world champions in all his fights, both in his home country The bang average Herring and a much smaller looking Vadlez who was coming off a scandalous robbery win and has literally either gone life and death with or lost about 8 times and was either dropped or hurt in most of those fights, including going life and death against Miguel Marriaga (it was a very close and fiercely competitive and ever so predictably the scorecards were scandalously wide). Marriaga is considered a ''bum'' for Loma but he gave Valdez hell Like I said, the disrespect is absolutely ridiculous and many fans are so brainwashed without even realizing it FTR, just to add some much needed perspective Shakur turned pro at 19 and didn't move up to his third division until he was almost exactly the same age as Loma was when he turned pro, meaning that he wouldn't have even moved up one weight class yet had he turned pro at the same age Loma did and even in his own words he's much naturally bigger than Loma FTR again, Loma schooled Shakur's best ever win Valdez in the amateurs 12-1 with a broken hand And the only reason Shakur moved up both times is because he couldn't make weight anymore not because he was daring to be great like Loma. He literally never made one defence of his world title at 126, moving up immediately after winning it And he lost his world title at 130 on the scales in his 2nd defence or after his 5th fight at the weight He's an excellent fighter with elite skills but even putting Usyk and Crawford aside, how is he more skilled or better than Bivol and Inoue? Better defensively than Inoue but Bivol gets hit less than him despite having beaten way better opponents in Clenelo and Beterbiev than anyone Shakur has ever fought and very oten being the much smaller or smaller guy and fighting in his opponent's backyards or on the road Why does Shakur get praised for being a defensive genius but Bivol never has? I had to remind or rather inform almost everyone how good defensively Bivol was before the Clenelo fight. I think the reason why speaks volumes about said brainwashing and many fan's faulty perception of reality.
