I stand by my Foster pick btw. I can see our hypothetical forum posters calling his title reign a bunch of bums and then mocking him when he eventually fails at heavyweight.

 

See, this bit I'd have defended him for. There was a big problem back then with anti-black racism, etc. Racism is obviously not gone, but it's nothing like it used to be. 100% reasonable for a black man in that era to be salty over it.

 

The irony is he lived to have a white son in law and a Jewish one. One of Rasheeda's sons had a Bar Mitzvah which Ali attended. He took his confidaante and biographer, really hagiographer, Thomas Hauser with him.
