How am I "out of tune"?

Please explain your rationale for picking Langford.

    Zero.

    Hi Buddy.
My post was tongue in cheek, on reflection you make a good point of which I now agree with.
I thought the emoji might have been a clue.
    stay safe matey, chat soon.

toney specifically is such a weird case. A middleweight who moved up, not by lifting weights, but by eating at Burger King. He was just so damn good that he could manage all the way to heavyweight, despite being so far out of his natural weight class.

if he could have put the fork down, he might have ended up the GOAT (or in the running) middleweight.

After RJJ beat him I think Toney was basically working for RJJ at MW in terms of legacy(and arguably overall). Anything Toney did made RJJ look better. He could have never caught RJJ because no matter how high he climbed he'd be pushing RJJ above him.

Heh Pat, coincidentally I'm part way through research ahead of compiling top 10's in the 9 x inbetween divisions. Min, Light Fly, Super Fly and Super BW are all done, whilst I'm only part way through Super Feather, so other than saying Arguello is certainly in the running, I'll reserve judgement on where he should rank at Super Feather for the time being.

What weight class do you think Tommy's accomplishments were extraordinary in? Tommy's amazing career was the sum of all of its parts across the various weight classes but he never had a dominant reign anywhere.

Just over a year at welter. Four defences over four years at junior middle. Never successfully defended at middle or in two reigns at light heavy, nothing of note at super middle outside of his draw with Leonard.

Absolute bona fide all time great but I don't see where he stamped an indelible mark on any one weight class.

I'd agree as it's the same thing with James Toney, where their accomplishments are more spread out. But H2H I'd rank Tommy as a top three or even top one at junior middleweight.
