Usyk had Joshua out on his feet and knocked 6-foot-9 Fury from pillar to post with power shots; he's also already beaten Daniel by TKO. How is he not a hard-hitting champion? He's hardly Shakur is he? Dubois hit Hrgovic with the kitchen sink and could only stop him via headbutts, so he's not exactly George Foreman either.

Dubois hasn't improved enough or developed any intangibles that will trouble Usyk any more than when the first time they fought. Miller and Hrgovic were there to be hit and AJ is mentally fragile enough, that he knew that once he hurt him, he'd stay mentally rattled and concussed. If he tries any of those tactics on Usyk this time around, Usyk will make him pay immediately and tame him very quickly, just like he did the first time around. Quite frankly it won't shock me if Usyk ends up being the ultra aggressive one and goes on a two fisted attack from the opening bell. Similar to what Sergio Martinez did with Paul Williams in the rematch. Sergio realized he was hurting him with every overhand left that he was landing the first time around, but he added that wrinkle way too late in the match for the power to truly still be effective. So in the rematch, he simply picked up where he left off, with full power. Well when Usyk got hit in the nuts, that pissed him off something fierce, so when he got up, he took the fight to Dubois and proceeded to beat the ever loving dogpiss out of him and stopped him in 4 rounds. If Usyk comes out that aggressive, sitting down on his punches, he might take him out early. People keep saying, but... but... but... Dubois is mentally stronger!!!! Yeah well, Usyk is perhaps the mentally strongest fighter in the sport.

When I see the tape, I can only see an Usyk victory but anyone else has a really really strange feeling about this fight??

It's just that the low blow has everyone a little bit spooked this time around, fearing the worst if Usyk goes down on a ball shot again. After all, it's only natural, he's not going to be in Wroclaw, he's in the home of the British stoppage.

Wasn’t that the strategy behind the endless talk about it? So a ref would be less inclined to call a foul it it happens. I hope usyk and his team had good leverage in selecting a ref with a spine and credibility to do the right thing in the moment. It should be a fair fight. No leading with the head like a goat or uppercutting the nuts like a golota. Usyk is too much of a nice chap, if I were him, I’ll repay each foul in kind

I have consistently picked Dubois for this. I know Usyk is the better fighter but it's that age old story. Yeah, Dubois didnt win a round in their first fight but he genuinely surprised many by how well he boxed and I feel he has improved exponentially since then. It sounds stupid to say Usyk doesn't have the power to stop him given hes already stopped him, but I genuinely feel he stopped a disheartened, immature Dubois who simply could not get back on the horse after believing (rightly or wrongly),he'd won the fight. I have asked this question of those who dismiss this...have they ever been in a fight? I dont think it's just me, but you think you have someone beat, stopped, whatever and they get up and give it back to you, it's mentally tough to find the gear shifter again never mind the right gear.

I think Dubois will stop him within 8 rounds, maybe earlier. If Usyk comes out aggressive, earlier. Usyk is head and shoulders the better fighter, but the better fighter sometimes doesn't win.

I'll not be surprised if Usyk beats him, nor will I be disappointed. I just feel this might be Dubois moment.

What kind of sequence are you anticipating will lead to the stoppage?

I expect a hard, competitive fight but I think at some point Dan will back Usyk up to the ropes, or Usyk will seek a breather in a clinch due to his age, and Dubois will unload head and body shots. I think he will mix head and body shots this time as Usyk will expect the body being targeted. Dubois jab is criminally underrated, it is hard, accurate and reasonably quick and before anyone says it, yes, Usyk is masterful at slipping this, inside, outside or simply out of range but Im not sure he has the engine to do so for twelve now. AJ had Usyk worried, and more worryingly, Fury looked at some point like he was going to cruise to a win in fight one...and he is nowhere near as powerful as Dubois. I think Don will have drilled him on using the uppercut and time Usyk off the jab. I think Dan will make it physical, wrestling, pushing, he'll have to fight like young George at times. But I think he can do it.

    Exactly.

Usyk fights clean. He doesn’t need to fight dirty.

He isn’t a whiner. He simply and rightfully expects to be treated in kind.

The ref in the first fight wasn’t perfect at any rate.

Until it was low enough to do such damage as to see Usyk on the canvas, the ref wasn’t interested in policing Dubois on the multiple and obvious low blows that he threw before and after the fact of the officially ruled low blow.

Sad to say but i honestly believe dubois has not even a theoretical chance to win . I think it will be an interesting fight representing dubois in good and respectable shape for his later career but he suddenly will go down from a jab later rounds .

I am currently re-watching all of Usyk´s fights, and he really has that dog in him. Some of his earlier opponents tried to act though in there, and Usyk always responded with increased volume, and pressure.
If Usyk is being pushed in any way, he responds with intensity. His natural tendency is to box, and to slowly increase his punch selection as he finds more and more openings. But if the opponent does anything to irritate him, or to make him uncomfortable, then he will respond with volume and brute force.

Interesting sequence, I suppose that he could well have this game plan coming it. He’ll still have to execute it in the face of something coming back his way. Not too long to find out. It really does seem like age might get the better of usyk this time.
