Yes agreed people go OTT after a big fight Joshua only landed one significant punch in the fight and had Dubois wobbled and in some trouble until Joshua got careless and walked into a shot. Dubois can be still be taken out believe you me whilst I don't think he has a glass chin it certainly isn't granite either and he can be hurt and stopped by numerous Heavyweights now.
Well, on Dubois, his chin definitely looks better than I thought before the fight. This said, it doesn't mean we should just throw our prior evidence from the Joyce and Lerena fights, particularly, that his mandible is shakey. It's not like this victory over Joshua makes him George Chuvalo for goodness sake. As far as Joshua, man, his chin doesn't look great, that's for sure. He's always been on the suspect mandible list, but clearly his chin, if not as bad as Wilder's, isn't very good. Bottom line, both these guys have suspect jaws and this recent fight doesn't change that. Dubois may be somewhat more durable than many of us thought, and Joshua somewhat less, but both are vulnerable, and neither has great punch resistance. Hope that answers your questions adequately. By the way, congrats on calling the outcome of this fight correctly. Clearly you did much better at this than I did in this instance.
The revisionism here is incredible. At first, Dubois chin was 'getting shattered', he was going to get knocked out within three, he was getting brutally exposed etc.. etc.., now he apparently has a poor chin because he TOOK the straight rights people were saying would cause him to crumble and one of them affected him for a split second before he brutally knocked out AJ. Let me frame that for you, he took the straight rights people said would knock him out, from one of the hardest punchers in the division and went on to knock him out.....so he has a bad chin?
Parker is gonna bust Dubois's fragile glass mandible into a million pieces. He won just taste canvas, he'll be taking a long canvas nap.
Just remind everyone of the shaky chin this guy's packing!! Only a few days until Dubois's fragile mandible is shattered, again. Maybe this time his glass jaw gets exposed all the deniers will shut up!!
Yeah, I tend to feel that the final time Dubois went down screamed mental surrender more than it did a glass chin. Not to say Dubois has a great beard - he doesn’t - but that shot didn’t appear hard enough to put even Daniel down, and some shots prior to appeared harder though they would’ve lent to accumulative damage - And, while I can’t of course say he actually was for sure - I thought Usyk himself appeared surprised by the way Dubois went down and out.
Exactly. Dubois' chin isn't his problem - it's mentality... Getting wobbled badly and/or knocked out by relatively soft punchers is what marks a glass chin. Quitting when you've taken massive accumulation against a heavy handed guy and at risk of genuine injury (as Vs Joyce)? That's not a glass chin. Quitting when you're totally outclassed, clearly going to lose wide on cards and taking accumulation against a crisp puncher, but still have a punchers chance (as Vs Usyk)? Weak mentality, quit - yes... But that's not a glass chin. There's plenty to criticise with Dubois... He's dirty, he cheats, he's thick as pig**** and he does have a bit of quit in him. There's just no need to pretend his chin is awful - it's average at worst, IMHO.
