He won't win any public speaking events, but would you say he fights intelligently with the gifts he has?

His jab can be pretty clever.

Very basic, a good jab and one-two but one dimensional

Very basic, heavy hands and a good jab and one-two but one dimensional. Not smart, just toughed it out against Miller and Hrgovic, there was no IQ displayed other than how he used his head.

    Not really
He sets up his punches well and has gotten better defensively

I don't consider him someone who has a high boxing iq

He really does seem like a wind up doll to me, they wind up in camp and then pet him go in the ring and he does what he does.

I don't think he is a particularly smart fighter, able to make adjustments and act tactically in the ring. I think if they have trained for an adjustment or two though he should be able to pull it off.

Not very but he makes up for it with a quality mix of dirty maneuvers.

Are you kidding me? It's well known in academia that the Philosophy, Logic, and Scientific Method course he teaches at London University is considered rubbish because of its weak hackneyed content.

He's pretty smart using dirty tactics without them being noticed by the refs.

Watch his amateur fight hear back in 2016. Brilliant performance and just look at that jab. Transferring to the pros his style changed to more seek and destroy. He’s much smarter than given credit for. People just love to pile on top of him.

He has an average ring IQ at best, but for a limited boxer and a next level truly dumb guy, his ring IQ is pretty good.

Or with the crooked Queensberry referee ignoring the dirty tactics.
