Hearing Pacquiao talk about heaven and the devil... I can totally see why this guy is still boxing. He is living in a world of pure faith where magical things are completely real and you know what... guess what... if he beats Barios... there is a God! Yes God is real! You heard it here first!
i always backed Floyd as the better boxer, but I have no problem if anyone calls this guy the GOAT. As talented as Floyd was, Manny took more risks and it's crazy to even think of coming back at his age, considering what age he started professionally and the weight class If he turns back the years and puts on a great performance? I will call him the GOAT myself. What he has accomplished in boxing is insane and some of his records will NEVER be broken
Pacquiao's promoter should have been sued for negligence lol. Remember he demolished Barrera back in 2003 and then a few months later he signed to fight Juan Manuel Marquez? A guy who almost nobody had heard of and an ATG in the middle of his prime. There was no financial reason to fight Marquez at that time. He was the definition of high risk no reward. It just made absolutely no sense from a prizefighting standpoint. But Pacquiao was young and crazy, and he simply didn't give AF about risk/reward. He said Marquez is great? Well then let's ****ing go. And the fight was made. There is nobody in the sport today who is doing stuff like that.
Manny was sensational, despite my admiration of floyd's skills, I am also a huge admirer of Manny's skills and you know how high I rate Pacquiao. He is up there with the Duran's and Ali's of the world when it comes to being great I just hope he doesn't get hurt in this comeback. a bloody sensational fighter and his records will likely remain forever
@AdamT Yeah, I think Floyd was better, but Pac is greater, and I don’t really see room for argument when it comes to the latter…
I just hope his fight doesn't turn into a Paul-Tyson type disappointment. Even just being competitive would be a win for all of us *******s.
You're saying it like anybody with a half of brain expected anything else from Paul vs Tyson. I'm glad Paul didn't want to prove a point and didn't finish Mike off.
Hope springs eternal and everyone in that arena (including yours truly) HOPED that Mike would crush Paul. But our dreams were smashed in about 30 seconds when it became painfully obvious that Mike had nothing left. All the air left the room like a pinched balloon.
Prime Pacquiao was a sight to behold. Nothing currently comes close. I hope he makes a few quid, doesn’t get ironed out and hangs them up for good after.
