Probably a tune-up against some top 50 weak gatekeeper opponent - someone like Wallin. Can't rule out AJ rematch if AJ fancies it but I highly doubt he does though.
Nah. He wouldn’t have earned the right to fight either of those guys. Hopefully he ****s off and gets out of the sport. Actually give MMA a try!
Fury v Dubious would be an interesting fight. Croatian V Dubious II is good too. Zhang v Dubious is an excellent matchup. Dubious v AJ is a guaranteed KO as we know. Lots of great fights for him. Stars aren't made, they're born.
Wherever he wants to go. Usyk, Fury and Joshua are all on their way out. He can easily be part of the next generation.
If he loses and Usyk carries on and keeps the belts. I think if he is looking for a stay busy fight which is low risk and helps his legacy then the Joyce rematch is great.
There is more chance of one of us here fighting Dubois than Fury. Fury will avoid young Daniel like the plague. He knows what likely happens, so will be focusing more on the older generation for his next victims. I do not see AJ and Hearn being stupid enough to face young Daniel again, not after what happened last time. Zhang is still to much of a risk, as he still a live dog for the first 4 rounds and young Daniel doesn't have the best set of whiskers when clipped. From your list Hrgovic is a decent choice, will put up a half decent effort but will ultimately get beaten. My preference though is the Joyce rematch. Would be a chance for young Daniel to spectacularly address that L on his record.
This is a win-win fight for him. His standing does not diminish whatsoever regardless of the outcome. So he can just continue as if nothing happened. If he loses, he was in with a generational great who has already knocked him out with a jab before; if he wins we won’t hear the last of it from the annoying British press.
He will most likely have a rebuild fight against a top 50 guy like TSNSN has already mentioned here. Then he would be straight back into contention and looking for a fight against someone im the top 10 which with his management would put him in line for another title fight if he wins that. I could see him in line for another title shot inside a couple years pretty easily. Bigger question would be what goes on in his camp? Would he get rid of his trainer and make changes? Or just carry on as he has. He also might feel that he has done enough in the sport and achieved his goals of becoming world champ and take his foot of the gas a bit and start enjoying his money and the lifestyle it brings.
Win or lose, Dubois has a solid future in the division, at least for the next 5-6 years. He does get hit a lot though. Today's Dubois vs. the Wilder of 7-8 years ago would have been a fun fight.
This. He already lost to the GOAT, and no one really gives him a chance. Of course Usyk is older now and Dubois is a big puncher so it’s possible he lands one and stops Usyk but that’s a small chance.
