    Yes my boxer participated in at least one newspaper decision bout

    Current Information:
    1. My boxer has more than 5 wins in world title fights (technically)
    2. My boxer is a single division world champion
    3. My boxer is from North America
    4. My boxer did not fight in a world title fight after the year 1970
    5. My boxer is not a multiple time champ in his division
    6. My boxer did fight before 1930.
    7. My boxer participated in at least one newspaper decision bout

    That is my understanding per earlier posts by/discussions with @Rubber Glove Sandwich but he should answer.

    The idea being if I’m out, I can’t take away any of the precious 20 darts still left to be thrown from someone still in the game who is angling in on it.

    - Does Your boxer have more than 100 career fights? (In case there's some confusion due to newspaper decisions being counted or not - let's go by boxrec).

    Boxrec contradicts itself in this regard.

    The W-L-D record displayed in the heading of the fighters first page does not include newspaper decisions in no decision bouts.

    However, an opponents record going into an individual fight does include newspaper decisions.

    E.g. Boxrec list Harry Greb as 109-9-3 on the header of his first page, whereas on Tiger Flowers page Harry Greb is listed as being 265-18-17 going to their rematch, which was Harry’s final bout. So, according to boxrec, Greb contested 301 x fights, including no decision bouts.

    Going by boxrec's total bout count on a fighter's page which does not count newspaper decisions, my boxer does not have more than 100 career fights.


    No my boxer did not contest a professional bout in 1925 or later

    Current Information:

    1. My boxer has more than 5 wins in world title fights (technically)
    2. My boxer is a single division world champion
    3. My boxer is from North America
    4. My boxer did not fight in a world title fight after the year 1970
    5. My boxer is not a multiple time champ in his division
    6. My boxer did fight before 1930.
    7. My boxer participated in at least one newspaper decision bout
    8. My boxer was not black
    9. My boxer's championship came at 160 lbs or above.
    10. My boxer has more than a dozen draws on his record
    11. My boxer does not have more than 100 fights (not counting newspaper decisions)
    12. My boxer did not contest a professional bout in 1925 or later

    I'm staying at my sister's place this weekend and most likely won't be as active on here. Feel free to ask questions or take guesses, I'll just be more late than usual in responding.

    Feel welcome to count this as either a clarification or an additional question, whichever you see fits best - you've answered that your boxer has more than 12 draws; and less than 100 fights, excluding no decision bouts. Does he have more than 12 draws excluding no decision bouts?
