People saying he does, he’s only fought 1 guy at 168lbs, someone who hadn’t earned a title fight himself when he got one.

Should Hamzah Sheeraz have to fight a title eliminator?

He is a lively contender in this fight.

    Bring it on.

I suspect this will spurn one of my most hated phrases of the new social media boxing era - "he's in the conversation" as if anyone's actually conversing about Canelo's next fight outside of this bubble. Self-fulfilling claptrap.

I would be super happy if the Saudi "Ring" promotion just backs out of the constant gossip and NDAs the life out of all the promoters so we hear things when they're announced.

He already fought and won the WBC 168lbs eliminator Vs Balanga.

When WBC rankings are updated Hamzah will be No.1 at 168lbs ..

I didn’t know that, but it begs the question, how was Sheeraz vs Berlanga able to be for a title eliminator when Sheeraz hadn’t beaten anyone at 168lbs before then, and Berlanga also hadn’t, he got dominated in his title fight, then beat 1 guy who was built like a bag of milk fighting around 3 weight divisions above his natural weight, not to mention the guy’s 10 year inactivity, then Berlanga beats him and also gets a title eliminator against a guy who hasn’t fought at the weight?

Hamzah carried his high ranking with the WBC from 160 where he was No.1 hence got that Adamas WBC shot which he was mandatory for .. because of draw he didn't really lose his rankings.

At 168 WBC placed him 6th straight away , before Balanga fight..

Assuming canelo will want an automatic rematch and then be coming off two losses, I doubt he fight shareeza

He probably isn't the most deserving but at the same time would be a worthy challenger could be a lot worse

In a WBC world where Chisora got a stadium fight title challenge against Fury in recent times, anything's possible. And that was before the whole Saudi invasion of boxing.

I see it like this also, we’ve had worse contenders

I don’t think Canelo will be in a rush to fight sheeraz

Canelo has fought much worse opponents and at some stage soon, his age and 67 fights will catch up with him.

Sheeraz could be arriving at the perfect time to fight Canelo.

Think Crawford has a hell of a good chance of beating Canelo on points.

If it does go that way, be calls for a rematch.

No idea but does Canelo Crawford have a rematch clause?
