Ref should have stopped the fight instead of issuing the count when he did. He deliberately got in between to prevent the knockout.
If he'd have given the 8 count the first time Fury hit the ropes, then he'd have to stop it when the onslaught continued.

If Usyk had been staggering all around the ring like that he'd have stopped it 100%

Because he didn't have their intent. He played it safe. Plus he was hanging on for dear life in the first and Usyk let him off the hook in the second.

His eyes were completely gone when he went down so he was definitely really hurt.

I do think there was a conscious decision there too though. He looked like he was considering it after the first knockdown too.

Like I said earlier it must be mentally exhausting to share a ring with him.

Fury is a huge heavyweight boxer who was defeated twice by in his own words 'a gappy toothed small middleweight' on the back of being decked numerous times by 'Cruiserweight' Wilder who is a poor boxer.

    Elite?

Sorry Lennox Lewis but you were nowhere near as good as Usyk.

Holyfield was a great cruiserweight fighter in that era who moved up and Lewis done him twice.

Would be a great fight and so would prime Mike Tyson v Usyk.

Pretty sure i was one of them. Its one of the hardest thing to do imo....jump from cruiserweight to heavy and get success like usyks getting. Hence why very few have done it.

Tbh tho i think people underestimate how much joshua and fury pushed him due really to natural size and weight etc. He soundly outboxed them both but he is going through the trenches with the heavier weight heavier punches etc. Hes making it look easy but they,ve been harder fights than people realise imo. Not on the cards but physically. He soundly done enough.....but his limits not much higher than either due to the weight/natural advantages.

Fury and Joshua must have been stunned expecting this small man to fall apart.

Tonight just showed how great this man is after cleaning out the division against some very large men.

100 percent. Top of the lb for lb list for me. Just got everything.

After whats happened these last few years the brits need to look into the training regime/strategies now. The training regimes been just as important as usyks own natural talent to his success imo.

Can't knock Usyk he's a living legend in the sport no doubt but Dubois showed his old weaknesses again tonight.
Watch the end of the fight he wasn't that badly hurt he got up and walked off absolutely fine he wasn't unstable at all he could of got up and gone out on his shield at least AJ did that against him.
Its mentality with Dubois he's like a bully in a playground.

Dubois is a quitter, it has happened 3 times now. When the going gets tough, he just walks off. As you say, as soon as ref called it off, he casually walked over to corner. He wasn't dazed, just quit.

No shame in any of our Brits losing to a generational great. You can be world class but you’ll never beat elite.

    Hope Usyk retires now.
