    I think it's likely
Spot on. The 2 fights that AJ impressed in were Wlad and Usyk2.

Negativity on Dubois is totally undeserved. He is still top 4. Any other heavy would have his hands full with dubois as an opponent and he boxed really well here. Really looking forward to his next fight. Apart from the fouling I never understood the hate, anyways. He is way more likeable than most

Another stiff dosser bites the dust.

Except Parker is way, way more proven.

Kabayel has only fought two genuinely world level fighters, Zhang and Chisora, both of whom have very mixed records... Parker has a couple of losses, but he's been in far more fights against top opponents.

Kabayel is hyped hard for how thin his resume is - I don't expect he'd be able to get much done against a genius ring IQ like Usyk.

Not that I'd back Parker to beat Usyk either, but he's done a lot more to earn a shot.

    People, just stop with nonsense.
Fighting just the same 3 guys at heavyweight doesnt make you the greatest heavyweight ever.
Especially when Fury was considered past it since the Wilder fights and Joshua/Dubois are one in the same

    Completely agree.

I just think, besides Parker, there's nobody really glaringly missing from definitively clearing out the era either.

Sure, he could fight guys who might go on to prove they're up there (including Kabayel, who IMHO needs a lot more depth to be remembered - if he retired tomorrow he'd have been a flash in the pan... Where Parker along with Joshua, Fury and Dubois have done a lot more to date).

like i said, ydksab. and i suspect that you dksamma. and ydksa me. i dont even like canelo, so say wtf you want, it really displays your level of discussion.
now if you wanted to try and hurt my feelings, you could talk about bam, who i do like and am a fan of. theres already several girls trying that exact same thing. and i get a huge kick out of it. so you could contribute in that way. cause your childish reactions to getting your feelings hurt over a criticism of usy, who i am a fan of, is contributing nothing.

Ali got hit a LOT more than Usyk. That's why his brain was mush. Usyk is a better defensive fighter than Ali. He just doesn't get hit square like Ali did. Ali just had the best st chin in history.

I'm not a big Usyk fan but credit where credit is due.

I've watched the heavyweight fights dating back to the early 80s and I wouldn't be confident any HW post that era could beat Usyk. I would probably back a prime Tyson with his speed and angles and maybe Lewis with his jab. No way would I back Bowe or Holyfield?

Alan Hansen's record was 93. Ergo Usyk is a better footballer than Alan Hansen. The man could probably try his hand at writing a symphony and blow Beethoven out of the water.

    You know what they say

If you can't take the Usyk love, get out of the Usyk love thread

    Here's more nonsense.

How does going life & death SIX times vs. chinny 6'3 Ken Norton and 5'11 slow starting Joe Frazier -- by TODAY's standards -- make you great or the "greatest??" :shakehead:

 I wouldn't be surprised. Usyk can be the GOAT at anything he turns his hand to

    On the flip side...

Kabayel is, so far, a flash in the pan.

He's spent most of his career feasting on the kind of bums even Wilder wouldn't have considered worth fighting, and only has two serious wins (Chisora and Zhang) both of whom have very mixed records at world level.

If he fought Usyk, lost, and retired immediately afterwards?
He'd be seen as completely irrelevant historically... Heck, people would probably spend forever debating why Usyk fought someone like that.

OTOH, if Usyk doesn't fight him and he goes on to win a belt or two then it'd forever be asked why he didn't...

Either way, Parker is way, way more deserving right now.

If Foreman doesn't get beat in Zaire, Ali isn't close to the greatest. Period.
