Parker is certainly more deserving. I was just looking at the idea from the point of view of what would make good entertainment.

I just remembered Showbizz the Adult bet 10 grand on Dubois

So many clowns out there who think all you have to do to beat Usyk is walk him down. They think Usyk can't box on the back foot and deal with pressure. Er. He's been doing that for his entire career amateur and pro when he chooses to do so which has been often. He can do it all

Ali struggled with Frazier, really lost to Norton at least twice, and lost to Leon Spinkd at the age that Usyk is still knocking peak athletes out. You take the Liston fights and the Foreman fight out and Ali has a weaker resume than Usyk.

The guy who beat one of the hardest punchers in history while in trenches, and gave absolute FOTY hell to another before going down. Also made a long time challenger in Bugner admit he was close to killing him and made a name for himself by a streak of vicious knockouts as an extremely late starter, who by the way beat his fair share of top contenders as well.

Quarry beat every puncher ever put in front of him bar Frazier, and if we are being completely honest, Dubois is not getting up from some of the blows Lyle landed on Jerry. He ain't rubber necking them, and he ain't taking them, because adding 'CW' to the fighter's name doesn't change his qualities and accomplishments. Jerry was the goods when he put it together, and he was a stylistic nightmare for some.

Modern nutrition magic is doing its work to be honest. Not implying steroids, merely advancements in health department.

Ali had 180 amateur bouts himself, so Usyk had about twice as much amateur experience, but amateur fights are only a couple of rounds.

Ali on the other hand had a ton of pro 12-15 round fights, which are harder on the body.

There was a ruthless efficiency from Usyk again tonight. A pleasure to watch.

Aye - it just depends if Kabayel really is as good as he's hyped up to be... And whether he can cope with a far more complicated and complete opponent than Chisora or Zhang, neither of whom are within a million miles of Usyk for speed or ring IQ.

Beating up crude guys by being tough as nails and punching hard is all well and good... But how does that translate in a fight where your opponent is far harder to hit, especially with real power?

Call me cynical, I just think it's got more chance of being a total mismatch than a classic... But who knows.

I think a far more proven and deserving opponent is less likely to wind up being a complete disappointment... Unless he fights both, we'll never know.

Since we're comparing Usyk to Ali, Usyk should have no problem fighting 32 more times to match Ali's record in order to make a fair comparison...

Quoting Roger Mayweather doesn't give you his knowledge and expertise.

Seriously dude, why are you always crying in your responses? It's embarassing, you argue like a woman. Some kind of "bandeedo" you are.

Usyk hasn't fought a single opponent who is considered great.

Ali fought Liston, Foreman, Frazier, 2 of them in their absolute peak and 2 of them would be amongst the top 10 Heavyweights of all time.

Let's compare resumes shall we ?

    Ali's best wins

    Foreman
    Liston x2
    Frazier x2
    Norton x2
    Quarry x2
    Ellis
    Young
    Shavers
    Patterson x2
    Lyle
    Williams
    Terrell
    Folley

    23 world title wins

    Usyk's best wins

    Fury x2
    Joshua x2
    Dubois x2
    Chisora

    6 world title wins.

Ali was fighting 12/15 round fights fighting against ranked contenders consistently for like 14 years.

Usyk has had 8 Heavyweights since 2019 and 6 of them against the same opponents.

Usyk is a great that's undeniable but Ali's resume is just too good to compare it to Usyk's.

I've even put a no limit tab behind the bar, squire.

If that's not good enough for a night's entertainment end, then I don't know what is.

Don't worry, squire, I'll pick each and every one of the negative cry baby people on this thread out.

And I will eventually blunt my cut throat razor...in doing so...

Downside is, it takes ages to lovingly getting it so sharp, too..( I'm an old skool perfectionist FFS!)

But a tool Is IS to be used, and not a museum piece....

There's about as much enthusiasm for that as there would be for Biden 2028... Or maybe another term of Starmer's Labour :risas3:
