    Mayweather, Pacqauio, Klitschko, Calzaghe etc.

    He's surpassed ALL of them!

Usik dominated tonight. But Im not sure where among the all time great Heavyweights he places. The best of today? Clearly....

But lets wait a few years and fights to gauge his hall of fame qualifications yet....hold your horses still.

What the heck, he posted this five minutes ago and I can't respond to him. I guess my life will have to go unfulfilled.

All I know is he still has 24 fights. Johnny Bumphus was undefeated after 22, Billy Costello was undefeated after 30, Jaime Garza was undefeated after 40. They al looked the goods and then puff!

Even Edwin Rosario who is in the hall of fame was said to be the next Roberto Duran and he clearly was not.

We need to let go of fanatism and wait to see how his career turns out at the end. Remember , its not who is ahead after the first quarter that matters but who is ahead at the end of the 4th quarter. The same can be said about boxing careers.

Look at the caliber of his opposition, he’s been fighting world class opposition since his 10th fight.
Most undefeated boxers don’t start fighting anyone till they’re 25-0

All of those are different generation. Usyk is however the best of this.

You do realise most boxers face bums until they are into their twentieth or sometimes thirtieth match? lol

usyk didn't do that... boxed for a world title belt after nine matches

What happened to David Reid, Davey Moore, Sansak Muansuring and Lomachenko?

How fast a boxer wins a title is not usually a good measure of how great he or she will be later on, neither does it really bears importance. On the other hand, you have Archie Moore, Carlos Monzon, Marvelous Marvin Hagler, Jose Luis Ramirez, Julio Cesar Chavez Sr, Ezzard Charles, Jose Napoles...(you want me to keep on going?) who waited until later and are certified Hall of Famers (well except Ramirez who is unfairly not there)

So the fact Usik fought for a world title in his ninth fights bears no importance. Let's get off the fan wagon and wait til the future to decide whether he is an all time great or not.

This would make sense if we were talking about a prospect. Usyk has had 13 title fights and is undefeated in all of them. Knocking over 20 cans on his way through the ranks doesn't move the needle. Otherwise Wilder would be ranked higher.
