the elbow probably did cost him the first fight but I think its evident now he was never at the elite level.

I'll never understand hating guys who consistently bring it in the ring. Especially since if you just wanna hate someone, well... boxing ain't exactly short on hateable guys at any given time who are not just hateable but also ducks on top of that

Not calling you out specifically per se but people online are being very subjective in either deriding Tim for quitting or praising him for his honesty and intent to live to fight another day.

Basically when a boxing fan likes the fighter in question, they will justify the quitting. If they dislike them, they will mock them.

It’s just the nature of the sport.

But Tim objectively quit in there. There’s no ifs or buts about it. Whether that warrants derision or praise is a matter of opinion.

He could’ve stayed in Australia fighting B level guys making a fortune but he wanted to prove himself. That’s a real warrior.

Bloody hell, he’s a promoter FFS. That’s his job.

People on here talking up a Usyk/Fury trilogy yet Usyk has beaten Fury twice. It’s no different.

Surely Pac will break some records if he wins tonight? oldest to win a title at this weight? maybe # of title wins or something similar.

His ego and all of that... "What's my mother****ing name?" nonsense was grating as well. Same goes for his bummier more delusional brother Nikita. I just find everything about them grating. The fans acting like he would beat GGG and was going to be P4P for decades to come, didn't help. But it was just the perfect storm with Tim, that managed to push most of my buttons.

I couldn't care less about Aussie fans supporting your fighters. Have a ball! Opetaia is a good fighter to back, even though I think he'll fall apart when he moves up to HW.

45 years ago I chose not to watch my favorite fighter, Muhammad Ali, go up against Larry Holmes. Ali was old and I knew what was going to happen. I'm glad I missed it. Now my second favorite fighter, Manny Pacquiao is coming back after a poor performance and a four year layoff. While Barrios isn't Holmes I just can't see a way for Pacquiao to do anything but lose this fight badly. I am going to watch it but I hate this aspect of boxing.
