Should Dubois think about an early retirement?

Retire because he lost vs an ATG?

He's 27. The other fighters at the top of the division are probably done within the next 18 months. He has potentially earnings into the hundreds of millions ahead of him.

Again, I appreciate all answers, but am mostly talking about some of the damage he has already taken to his body in his career. The two Usyk stoppages along with the orbital bone and the ACL.

And again...no. This is not the point I am making. Talking about damage.

    Im just being snarky.

To be serious here I think no. An eye injury and a blown out knee are pretty standart things for a fighter.

I think people fail to realize just how big of a gap there is between Usyk and the other HWs of today. Dubois is one of the best HWs of the upcoming generation, and he isn’t even a quitter, he was just levels below Usyk. This wasnt a case of a fighter breaking or something like that, Dubois simply got his ass kicked by a much superior fighter. I think once Usyk retires people will start to see just how special he was when Dubois ends up as a top name in there.

I don't think he's taken that much damage. Since the eye and knee injuries they don't seem to have effected him in any way, he's only gotten better since then. Even though he's been stopped 3 times now he hasn't taken really any serious beatings. Chisora took far more damage after his first 3-4 losses and still fought on at the top level for the next decade and more. While the KO against Usyk last night was bad other than the finishing shot he took very little real damage.

With the performance he showed last night kabayel would punch him thru the ropes and parker would school him like a kid .

All in all the weakest undisputed fight in history , a shocking soft touch to usyk .

Should Wlad have quit when it became clear he was packing glass?

Dubois can still be great. He’s got a lot to work with. But it’s clear now he’s got a garbage chin. It is what it is. Just means his style is going to have to adapt and he’s going to need to learn to be a lot more defensively responsible.

it’s funny how nature doesn’t like to create unfair boxers and gives the guys with big gifts the big flaws. It’s why Wlad didn’t have his brothers chin, or why Vitali didn’t have his brothers power. Or why Usyk doesn’t have Dubois’s power. Because that **** would just be unfair.

Absolutely not. He could still dominate the division once Usyk retires. All he did was lost to an ATG twice.

He still has a lot to offer the division and I would be surprised if he doesn't win a belt again in the future.

Ya daft? He's got loads of good fights ahead of him. Get him in against Joshua again, then Chisora, Parker, Wardley, basically anyone that's a bit flat footed with a punch. None of the slicksters, which is only like one or two other heavyweights at the moment.

Done at the top level like Joshua, but there’s plenty of journeyman fights he can take.

How many heavyweights can beat Dubois? He`s 27, Usyk is 38, Fury is near the end, Dubois will probably get at least 3 more shots at the titles which may be split up eventually.

His feet are quicker than most heavies, his ACL is fine as is his orbital bone.
