Truth. The public is always wildly skewed one way or the other. This era is quality.

Compare it to the Klitschko era. Heavyweight was revived after Fury schooled Wlad. It's slowly reaching it's end though and might never come back.

Cherish the era of Usyk, Fury, Wilder and Joshua and all of the others who gave us entertaining fight. There was nothing like that during the Klitschkos, just two brothers beating up bums over and over again.

Thanks for supporting my claim. Because Chisora is so tough that Usyk went 12 rounds with him.

I think Usyk is pretty much the last man standing of the era of himself, Joshua, Fury and Wilder. Parker is probably the only top fighter from that era that's still on top of his game. I think that era was decent, not great like the 70's and 90's but not truly dreadful either.

Dubois is only 27, he may not even be in his prime yet, he was simply thrown in at the top level at an early point in his career. He should have been a fighter of the next era not on the tail end of the one now. He's younger than Jalolov and Clarke a year older than Torrez Jr.

I think the next crop of heavyweights from the 2016 Olympics onwards have been worse, Yoka, Hrgovic and Joyce are worse and the next crop with Jalolov, Torrez Jr and Clarke don't look any better. Itauma is still really unproven but is the only potential glimmer of hope but even if he is the real deal who is there to test him. The future of the division doesn't look that great.

yeah of the young guys, it’s Dubois, Ituama… and who? Teremoana? It kind of sucks because Ituama shows so much promise, but if he’s as good as it looks like might be, who is there for him? Would just be an era of him wrecking everyone quickly. Kid needs a real division to fight in.

I was watching fights from the 1970s onward. Everyone looks back at it like some "Golden Age". Not so. An awful lot of mediocre fights back then too.

This HW era has been more action-packed and high-quality than most periods in the last 50 years

And if you sent the best of today's mobile giants back to those previous eras, they would have a field day

Chisora, who belongs to this era, going 12 rounds with Usyk proves that this era have very tough fighters, CHisora is one of them.

I think it’s been a really good era. Usyk is without doubt the best. But Fury, AJ and Wilder had big talent as well.

The biggest disappointment is fights not happening when they should have. AJ and Wilder needed to happen 7 years ago. Fury and AJ should have happened 5 or 6 years ago.

But this is the reality when fighters only fight once or twice a year.

This generation is quality but whenever the history is written we will have to differentiate.

AJ/Wilder/Fury period was in the main pretty weak. Only one of the best available fights happened between the prime fighters and the jury's out on how good Wilder actually was. After that you have fighters like Whyte/Joyce/Chisora/Ruiz/Parker/Ortiz/Bellew operating in the Top 10 who proved to be a mix bag. There was quantity, but not much quality.

Usyk era has a stronger crop of proven fighters with Fury/Dubois/Parker/Zhang and Kabayel but a huge drop off moving away from the Top 5.

He has nothing else to prove but if Usyk steps in against at least Parker and possibly Kabayel after he would cement his legacy further.

AJ started boxing at the age of 18, Usyk has had over 300 amateur fights ..

The disparity between boxing being in your DNA by starting at a young age , to starting when your an adult is massive and is the key reason why Usyk schooled AJ..
