He absolutely doesn't have a glass jaw. This fight just confirmed it. This was the first fight Usyk trained for strength and sitting down on his punches and the first fight he said he was going for the KO in the press conference. In the first, second, and third rounds, Usyk caught Dubois lunging in with a HARD left and Dubois didn't go down. If you can't tell the difference between Usyk's pitty patter volume punches and the spiteful shots of today, you have no eyes. Even in the KO sequence, Dubois' chin did a 360, his mouthguard went flying, and his eyes spun, but he was still up by 10. If he had a glass jaw, ONE tap on the chin would have him UNCONSCIOUS. Dubois has 0 defense and gets hit constantly and if he was packing glass, he would be twitching on the ground every fight. Dubois definitely doesn't have a good chin and he's a quitter but he's NOT packing glass.
He's packing a porcelain mandible. Dubois will retire with 10 stoppage losses. He already has 3 and he's only 27
Any other fighters would be called China chin..not sure what's up with the Dubios nut hugging. Dudes chin got smashed tonight by someone who isn't exactly known for being a power puncher ( though Usyk certainly is growing nicely into his weight).
Usyk is a good puncher, AJ was ready to go, and Fury could have been counted out with another ref. Same treatment he got in Wilder 1 btw.
Anyone else think he quit yesterday? It was a big punch no doubt but as soon as the fights waved off he's back on his feet marching to the corner.
I wouldn't say it's complete glass, the right hand Joshua landed would have finished him if it was and Hrgovic too landed clean so many times for it to be glass. It's not good, but it's not glass either. Probably as 6/10 in terms of chin. Glass chin to me would be 1-3/10 type chin, like a Clifford Etienne or a Seth Mitchell, every clean shot hurts them and we seen Dubois take big shots and still keep going. Yeah Usyk cleaned his clock but Usyk isn't feather fisted. He hurt Fury, he hurt Joshua, he has enough pop on his shots to get everyone's respect and he caught Dubois cleanly and was hitting him with good shots just prior to the KO. Sometimes it's not about power but the set up, the timing and delivery. Usyk used Dubois aggression against him, was walking him into shots to amplify his power. Nothing more dangerous than a counter puncher which is why Joyce looked unstoppable in terms of his chin until he faced a genuinely good counter puncher, even really good chins can be cracked against a punch that's perfectly set up, like when JMM KO'ed Pac.
I think usyks punching power is severely underrated. He rarely plants his feet to punch but when he does he has had everyone he fought in some sort of trouble.
This post is pure delusion. Dubois is a Glass Jawed Fighter. We have the evidence. Glass Jaws exist in Boxing and we WILL discuss them on here no matter what excuses you make.
Indeed it is. You would this after this latest episode of Shattered Glass that these deniers would wake up and recognize the CENTRAL importance of punch resistance in boxing. All this talk of Dubois's lack of "heart," for example is just further evidence of his poor punch resistance. Dubois is a glass jawed fighter, he knows it- and so if he has any awareness left before his fragile mandible gets shattered, he just takes a knee and/or stays on the deck to avoid getting KTFO. If he had a sturdy mandible, he would have the confidence to walk through punches and throw his own. The deniers need to understand this - a china chin causes all kinds of deficiencies in a fighter's game. In short, it's the GLASS JAW, stupid!!!!
It's amazing that there are people who don't recognize Dubois has a glass jaw. After Saturday there should be no question.
