He was good enough to give peak Joe Louis trouble.

I don't care what no one says, he reminds me of Tua in several ways.

Tony Galento appeared in the Ring's Annual Top 10 heavyweight rankings 3 times, all in the top 5, and at number 1 (below the champ) in 1939.

That's better than Tommy Morrison ever did.

    Does this tell us anything?

Dubois is better than his last fight suggests, but it is clear that he doesn't have the best chin.

I don't think that it is a given that he beats Galento, albeit he has already surpassed him in my opinion.

Yes, it speaks volumes about the era he fought in.

He was no great, but he did beat about 70 plus guys and 20 or so losses. So he give it a shot imo. Dubois SHOULD win but as shown in Galneto's era, he is able to pull the upset from time to time or even knockdown Louis.

Dubois has much better stamina, and I don’t even think he’d need it.

He weighs around 10lbs more and is around 20% less body fat than Galento, Galento would end up backing up whether he likes it or not, Dubois hits harder, is stronger and has better technique, Galento is a sitting duck for Dubois.

Yeah a lot of it is clearly tongue in cheek but some of these mother****ers are dead serious

I dont know why they feel the need to do that, the kd was the closest thing to a lucky punch in boxing and Louis got up dman near immediately and battered him any damn way

Yeah, “trouble” is basically just Galento landing like 2 good left hooks after throwing like 90 of em across 4 rounds
