Remember when Tommy (or somebody) called Jake out for having impostor syndrome and he just froze and started stuttering

If Usyk v Parker actually happens it would be one of those fights where whoever wins I would not be disappointed. They both come across as really nice guys.

Parker is definitely a dangerous fight but I envision Usyk wearing him out and getting the stoppage by the 10th.

Kabayel DEALT with Zhang. Parker DANCED around Zhang.

Also aside from that what has Parker done to make him SO far ahead of Kabayel in your eyes? beat a washed Wilder and Bakole on 24 hours notice without a training camp? I just don't get it.

Wilder, Zhang and Bakole were all coming off the back of highlight reel KO's when Parker fought them. Zhang and Bakole were both avoided fighters. As you say, there is context to the Bakole fight but that goes both ways. Parker took the risk as well.

If Zhang is the sole yardstick by which championship fights are made, Kabayel might get the nod. But its not.

Based on recent resume Parker has had the tougher pathway and has had a defence of the WBO interim.

If you want to look at it in a broader scope, Parker's body of work is superior having fought quality opponents at a sustained level.

Unless there is a clear bias, Parker deserves his shot. Kabayel's time will come.

If Usyk announces any other fight

the WBO needs to strip him immediately

As a Parker fan, I agree that Kabayel that dealt with Zhang more convincingly.
Until the Dubois fight I'd actually have said Kabayel'd be the harder fight of the two as well TBH. But Usyk showed a beautiful set of inside hook counters against Dubois that have me thinking otherwise now. Kabayel has a nasty habit of not having his hands up as he throws those body shots and I reckon Usyk punishes him for it now.

As for who's more deserving, while I admit he's the more eye catching Kabayel's resume is thinner. His shot will come but it should be after Parker's.

Zhilei Zhang in "gets hurt more by puncher than points boxer" shocker.

    They both beat him.

You have to look at depth.

Beating a fringe contender in Wilder by fighting the perfect tactics to nullify him is credible - Wilder was always overrated, but it's still a better win than anything Kabayel has beyond Zhang and Chisora by a very long way...

Then you have Parker having beaten Ruiz who was decent at the time and would go easily top 3 on Kabayel's resume.

Heck, Hughie and Takam are beyond anything outside Kabayel's top 2 as well.

Kabayel's impressive, but depth is what proves it's real and takes away luck... And he's lacking here.

Feel like everyone forgets how highly rated Frank Sanchez was especially on this forum id say koing Zhang and Sanchez more impressive than running around Zhang getting dropped X2 and beating a 24 hour notice bakole

I'd say "hyped" rather than "rated"...

Let's not forget Sanchez best win is Ajagba on points... The same Ajagba who couldn't beat fat Bakole on points.

Sanchez hasn't proven to be more than a low level gatekeeper at best - and if some making excuses are to be believed, he wasn't even fully fit in that fight.

Honestly, Sanchez and Makh might've been a big step up from the dross he'd fought since Chisora up to that point... But that's saying very little - they're okay rather than great wins.

I'm putting my money on Parker for the upset (I know it's unlikely).

    Let's get ready to rumble!
