Just to add to this, if Usyk was a heavyweight puncher who is taking out big, durable 240+ heavies; you'd expect him to have been an absolute terminator at CW. Since this is not the case - which I'll take a look at in a second - then it must be because: A) Usyk's power has increased significantly since moving up. B) The heavyweights Usyk has hurt, are not as durable as the cruiserweights he did not hurt. Usyk hasn't actually gained much weight since he was at CW - sure, the number at the weight ins can say nearly 30lbs - but the truth is probably more like 5-10lbs when you take into account the water cut and rehydration involved with cutting weight. I've already gone through Joshua, Fury & Dubois' ability to take a punch and none of them are atg by any standard. I remember when Usyk first moved up, and after his fights with Chisora and Witherspoon, most actually felt Usyk's power was simply not good enough for heavies - obviously those people were wrong, but it's some swing to go from a feather duster technican to a destroyer of super heavyweights in just 5 years. Finally, you could say he's choosing to sit down on his shots, and choosing to be much more aggressive. These are both true, he's not moving quite so much so he's sitting down in his shots and as he's smaller than his opponents now, he can set himself a little bit more. These have definitely both added to his power. Usyk at Cruiserweight has a sub 50% stoppage rate in his title fights, against Bellew, Huck and Mchunu. Bellew was a class knockout, no complains from me there. Mchunu was seen as chinny as the time due to his two stoppages losses - but since, it's fair to say he probably wasn't as chinny as thought at the time. The Huck stoppage was a cluster**** of hard shots, but Huck wasn't off his feet or even out of his faculties at any point. Beautiful offence and combination punching, but not a feat of power - very similar to Round 9 against Fury. His decision wins against the three best chins he has faced are imo, Hunter, Briedis and Gassiev. Hunter was pretty badly hurt in the final round - but he was also extremely tired. He also didn't actually come off his feet despite eating like 80 power punches from Usyk. Briedis and Gassiev, who have had their chins thoroughly tested by Dorticos, didn't show any issues with Usyk's power. Glowacki, who isn't chinny but isn't Kevlar, showed serious respect for Usyk's power, but Usyk was landing full on 4 punch power shot combos and Glowacki was never so badly hurt he looked like he could be stopped. So overall, a decent puncher with good results. Very comparable to Ali or Holmes imo, in no way a level above.
Holy **** dude, I haven't seen so many single stars since my grandma reviewed every app she’s ever used.
Yeah, Hrgovic is truly terrifying. Daniel Dubois must have the greatest chin of all time. Imagine standing up to this guy AND being 240lbs
