Whyte has a glass jaw. Itauma will shatter that fragile mandible.

I get it - he's quick and he's knocking his opponents out almost without fail and early - that's always going to get attention...

So he's got speed and good power.

But without stamina and chin, that won't take a fighter all the way.

He's nowhere near contender level yet - you can't make that claim without having fought a live gatekeeper yet.

There's promise and potential there for sure - just plenty of unanswered questions, too.

You'll see the proof on fight night when Itauma absolutely steamrolls Whyte

For the sake of boxing's future that would be great, but Whyte might be a step too far at age 20

I think Warren and Turki will pay Whyte to take a dive and elevate Itauma, hyping him against Usyk.

Itauma is still a little green ,but I'll take over the decaying inactive Whyte

The fight prediction aside, the idea that Whyte hasnt taken much punishment seems like quite an odd view of it.

Hes had multiple grueling fights, been rocked numerous times, dropped numerous times, and stopped numerous times. On top of his sparring wars, on top of being 37.

I just dont see from what angle can be seen where Whyte hasnt taken much punishment.

I see some people say Usyk hasn't had much punishment, despite his training routine and 350+ amateur fights

I'm looking at it at a sense where Wach had literally lost 10 times in a long career prior to Itauma hence his punch resistance was gone.

Whereas, Whyte has lost 3 fights. I'm not denying Whyte has taken some punishment but I think he still has a couple more good fights left in him personally and that he has some punch resistance left still.

I think he's shown more promise than say Richard Torrez and seems more steady than Jared, but at this point it simply doesn't mean much. Whyte is technically top 20 still (for some reason), so that will give him an accolade over a top 20 guy technically. But I don't think Whyte has much left and this is just a "name", I don't see it yet.........

Steamrolling Whyte won't answer any questions for me at all TBH

lol the difference in punch resistance after Joshua hit Whyte with countless clean blows in 2015 was incredible. People have spoken about that fight as the moment Whyte's punch resistance took a significant step back... ten years ago, before all of the other punches.

You have some terrible takes but this one has to be up there.

    Whyte hasn't taken much punishment.
