Of course….and there is the self aggrandising misnomer “World Series” in baseball also. Sometimes you gotta look past your own nose and “see” the rest of the world. <jk>.
Whatever opinions I have otherwise, that was a GREAT punch, absolutely love it. And Usyk had been tagged pretty good himself not long before but he soaked it up. For all his skills, Usyk’s chin has proven itself to be a great and utterly necessary attribute - no, he isn’t un-hittable, just as second career Ali wasn’t. His chin has been no mean supplement to his game. If it was even just a little bit less than what it actually is - several of his fight outcomes may well have been somewhat different.
“I don’t like cricket….I love it!” - Lennox Lewis - Okay, I don’t know that for a fact but I reckon he might, perhaps…maybe? I mean, c’mon maan, how could he not? At the very least, I bet NFL ain’t nuttin’ to him.
Usyk isn’t silly enough to exchange with him, he’d poke and prod from range, when they do end up close, he’d stay tight, and look to get out. Louis also wouldn’t be able to just bully him and back him up, since he’s 20lbs lighter.
Can you show me a single fight where Usyk was knocked out, or even down for you to arrive at this conclusion?
He was hurt by far less clinical punchers than Louis like Briedis, Fury, IIRC even AJ at stages of their fights and just didn’t have the ability to follow up successfully, pretty sure he was like 25 when Artur dropped him in the ams too. He’s far from unhurtable, had Louis been there instead of them I don’t see it going well for Usyk. I don’t think I specifically need examples of him getting knocked down or out considering how many times lesser punchers hurt him, Louis is the last person you’d want to get hurt against especially with as active a workrate as Usyk which gives Louis plenty of opportunities to hurt him. I don’t see Usyk getting Louis out of there either so he has a long distance to be perfect for.
Im amazed at how most are picking Louis Outside of power and fighting on the inside im not sure what advantages I can give Louis Usyks movement would be too much for Louis He struggled with Billy Conn Usyk wont gas out and is bigger and stronger than Louis Usyk stops Louis late
There are still people out there who argue that Usyk isn't very good, because he has a style more familiar in the amateur ranks. Personally that strikes me as being changing the evidence to reflect your preconceptions, rather than changing your opinions to reflect the evidence.
